Re: Twin Webber's...
it is not the compression ratio that is the issue, it is the peak pressure achieved during the combustion cycle. it erodes away the head gasket and causes it to fail. I had a high compression engine (flat top pistons plus milled head surface), about 11.25:1 compression ratio (vs. stock about 9.4:1)...

Re: Twin Webber's...
I would not advise trying to turbo a 3ac, the head design is marginal and will give you nothing but head gasket trouble. It does not cool evenly and will compromise the head gasket fast to force more air/fuel mix into it with a turbo. you will need to replace the head gasket every 2-3 months (I got...

Re: The Definitive List of Ways to Lift a Tercel 4wd
How did you route your airlines? Do all the necessary airlines and fittings come with the shocks?

Re: The Definitive List of Ways to Lift a Tercel 4wd
I don't see why not. When I get around to lifting Jenny, I plan on a 1" cutting board spacer on the front struts and the air shocks in the rear.

Re: How to raise a Tercels suspension?
I have been looking for information on what springs to put on the rear to give it a lift to clear 27” general grabber at2 tires on 14” American racing wheels. This might be my best luck is to ask you guys for help. I have only had my T4WD SR5 for a month and want to do a lot to it fast. I don’t wan...

I recommend buying a cheap welder, and making a custom steel bumper with a winch and a stinger!

Re: Anyone ever owned or operated a Subaru Justy?
From my limited understanding of similar vintage subarus, (I looked at them extensively before buying my first tercel) they are refined compared to the relatively crude tercel 4wd, but they are weaker mechanically. The solid rear axle is a rear benefit of the tercel in my eyes, but it might be a hin...

coolest engine I've never heard of
The Mazda K8.
A 1.8L v6?!?
About 135 horsepower.
Found in the mazda mx-3. (precidia)
I want.
But more importantly, could it be swapped into a tercel?

Re: 2018 projects, found a spoiler
Hey Andy, I was wondering if you could take another picture of the valve cover breather filter you used. I'm looking at my valve cover, and trying to figure out where I could plug one of those in. No luck. Also, what was the filter used?
Thanks a bunch!

Not speaking to old Subarus, but from what I've heard, the new subies really benefit from a HARD break in. Revv the sh*t out of it when its new to make sure the rings seat properly, so you don't end up like this:
