Re: Used 1985 Toyota Tercel Deluxe $14,900 San Jose, California
For that price, which is more than it cost new, it has obvoiusly been repainted, or the tail gate at least, because the TOYOTA decal is missing on the top right corner, I'm note picking it apart because it is clean looking, but just saying for that much money and it's not a SR-5, and it's Automatic.

Re: 87 tercel seattle
Petros is right, these little carbs work great, my Terc has 847000kms on it and it is still the original carb that came on the car when it was new. I took the original motor out at 643900 kms. and used the carb, intake and exhaust manifolds off it and installed on the motor I put back in it. The onl...

Same headgasket, but the valve cover and cover gasket are different, they're not straight on the intake/exhaust side of the head,they are the same as some of the 4AC Motors.

Re: New to the group, couple of tire/rim questions..
Welcome to the world of Tercel 4WD, you will never regret it. LOL. I run 185-55-15 on 5 spoke Miata Rims in the summer and have no rubbing issuse anywhere, they are the same hight as the stock 175-70-13 tires and the ride is so much better with the 15's, plus they make the 'Ol Terc look good too.

Re: Head liner sag is such a drag
Maybe his car has a factory sunroof, the headliner is different than the non sunroof headliner as they are a vinyl material clued onto a moulded material, and my car has a sunroof and I have junked a few with a sunroof, but they were still perfect with no signs of sagging, I wonder if water has gott...

Re: Front marker lights compatibility
They are different from the 4WD. 2WD Wagons are the same as the hatchback 83-86. The 87-88 2WD and 4WD wagons are the same and will interchange with each other, but the 87 onward hatchbacks were a totally diferent car.

Hey newplaner:
Hope you're feeling better. It's actually a plastic
clip that is on the speedometer cable housing on the end and you have to squeeze it to disconnect it from the dash, and once you release it, the dash will come out.

Hey newplaner;
Gotolovem summed it up perfectly, that's what you have do, pull iit out as far as you can until you reach in behind and unclip the Speedo cable.
