Re: '86 T4WD SR5 wagon added to wrecking yard in Rancho Cordova, CA on 8/11/2020

I’ll be adding to the carnage today! So much plastic on mine has but the dust so I’m hoping this one has what I need. It’s the same exterior color but a different year, so hopefully the interior matches! Would you be willing to grab the windshield wiper switch for me, please, along with any control...

You folks appear to have bought up what remains of the Moog Pathfinder springs!

Re: 1987 in Pick n Pull, Arlinton wa

I think someone did grab the transmission, but the car was not as nice in person as it was in the photo. 320k+ miles, moldy interior, and both headlamps were either chipped, or obviously leaking. I did snag a few doo-dads off it, but really, it was quite rough.

Re: new car

I wanted my wife to test drive the Regal TourX, it was on our short list, but she preferred the feel of the 2019 Outback we ended up purchasing.

Re: Alright, which one of you is this?

Yikes, clearly not a lot of off-roading experience. Surprised he didn't flood the engine or distributor charging into the water like that...

Re: brakes

Disclaimer: Unpowered brakes are not "unsafe," they just require a whole lot more pressure to achieve the same stopping force than is required with vacuum assisted brakes. This goes for any car, not just the Tercel. Most racecars have manual brakes and they seem to stop just fine...

Looks like you forgot the words to go along with your photos, are you selling this wagon?

Re: 3 4wd Subaru Justy's

It's been done many times, I first remember reading about one around 2004?

Re: 3 4wd Subaru Justy's

Justys are the black sheep of the Subaru world, they share almost no parts with any other USDM model besides door panel clips and the like. Not bad cars on the whole (avoid the ECVT) but I'd prefer an EA-series hatchback to a Justy any day of the week.

Re: door panel clip?

My Subarus use an identical clip on the door panels, these are pretty universal.

Re: Brake Up-grades MR2 Parts Vented Rotors Corolla Spacer Figs

This is why I always hesitate to use parts from another manufacturer that "fit" but aren't identical, particularly for a safety-critical system like the brakes. However this modification seems to have been performed by at least a handful of members, and while that's a pitifully small sampl...

Re: M/T trans fill/inspection plug replacement

Definitely keep the magnet plug. I kept a few spare magnet plugs kicking around and am glad I did because when I replaced the gear oil on both my 4wd corolla and now my 2wd corolla, I found that neither have magnetic plugs. They have regular drain plugs, and the magnet is mounted inside the trans c...
