Re: Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

New thermostat and radiator already. I was wondering if there was a thermal sensor that could also be a possibility?

Re: Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

i think what you're describing is normal. mine idles around 2000 rpm on cold start up and gradually comes down as the temp goes up. once fully warmed, it idles around 900 rpm. Yeah that seems to be what mine does...just guess it seems like a long time to me. Used to a carb system where tapping the ...

Re: Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

So I just replaces the headlight assemblies and driver's seat. Got manual adjustable mirrors to install as well. I did find a that exhaust manifold is cracked so I will be getting one of those now too. The PO put in a new dizzy, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, and air filter. He said that his mechanic fri...

Re: Re-name Me

How about Yo-Yo Yota, after all you did say your car was stolen and recovered. Just like a yo-yo, it goes away and comes back. Or how bout Boomerang John, same concept?

Re: Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

Thanks for all the clarifying info guys. I will make an order for one of the 1988 1/2 manuals then.

What years were the all-tracs made from exactly? I am figuring 1988-199????

Re: Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

I can't even find an FSM that just says 1988 corolla all-trac...only the 1988 1/2. I am guessing that this must be what I have.

My manufacturer's date is Feb of 1988 though so I would guess it to be a 1988 and not a 1988 1/2.

Re: Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

I am looking around for a factory service manual for my newly added 1988 corolla all-trac. All I am coming up with is factory service manuals that list it for a 1988 1/2 corolla all-trac. Is this what my car is considered or is there an actual 1988 manual and also a 1988 1/2 manual? I am guessing th...

Got an All Trac to add to my fleet...TURTCEL

Well, I finally found another Yota wagon to add to my collection. I just purchased a 1988 Corolla All Trac DX (yes, this is the AT version) for a sweet $1700 (was asking $2k). I know that most of us here are manual transmission lovers but believe it or not I was actually looking for an AT All Trac. ...

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

I actually replaced the Holley regulator with a Mr. Gasket one because that is all I could find. It runs fine now. My wife actually took it out to run errands and sent me a text telling me that the car runs awesome and she can totally tell a major difference.

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

So I got my WEBER on and running. My issue is that I believe my fuel pressure regulator may be bad. The pressure bounces around on the gauge and never gets above 1.5 psi. I just put on a new fuel pump at the same time. When I directly connect the fuel hose to the carb from the pump it runs better. I...

Re: My Tercel Stolen

I am very happy to hear that you got your Terc back. I lived in Cali for a while and my wife's family lives in Chico so we visit quite often. Her parents have had vehicles stolen or vandalized in the small nice community park that they live in. Unfortunately, no place is safe from thieves. Kill swit...

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

My thought on integrating the HAC was to drill and tap an air inlet port into the WEBER adapter plate in the small space where it rises. Not much room but could definitely make it happen without much issue. I think that maybe only one air bleed port could be integrated easily and run with only one i...

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

I removed and plugged off my EGR system about a year ago...nice not to have that big tube and modulator in the way anymore. I have been looking into keeping the HAC system integrated in the system by drilling and tapping a threaded port into the adapter block but that will be after I get the swap do...
