Re: tire size, speedo/odo adjustment, and fuel economy

tire size, speedo/odo adjustment, and fuel economy

tom mentioned something in another thread that got me thinking about speedo error due to larger tires: i find that my speedo is off by about 8% by running 185/80R13s, which i think are roughly the same diameter as the 195/70R14 that some of the guys on here are running. i was just thinking about how...

Re: Doors are so overrated.

most females i know despise tercs. my bud had one and his gf was embarrassed because she grew up with one and said he drove the little old car as if it were a truck, and she couldn't reconcile those two versions of it. my wife is ok with them and likes how snow-capable they are but hates having regg...

Re: What do with badly overheated honda?

good lord in heaven, jellied eel is possibly the grossest food i have yet heard of while tripe is the grossest i have laid eyes upon. derek, do you eat that stuff? is it common over there, do most restaurants serve it? i can't believe this.

Re: Need a 1986 Rear Tail light lense for passenger side

if there are no wreckers with tercs near you, you should at least be able to buy the lense new from any auto store for a reasonable price. probably quicker and easier than having one shipped from WA.

Re: Roadwolf: the Legacy

100 PSI on all cylinders is pretty low. did you see if those #s came up when you dribbled oil down the spark plug holes? it sounds like rings. if that's the case, you will have to pull the engine to do the work so i would just buy a used 4AC engine and plunk it in there and not bother with pulling y...

Re: Roadwolf: the Legacy

petros hit most of the stuff already. i have a 4AC and weber in my terc but i have been dealing with predetonation issues so my timing is currently at 5* BTDC but setting it to 10* BTDC is definitely the easiest mod, and has a noticeable difference. the 4AC is slightly more powerful but it's not as ...

just use the search feature and you'll find lots of useful thread. there are several different lifts that board members have done to their tercs.

welcome, caz! to find the HTML version of the FSM, go to the tercel4wd.com start page. there is a link there for the manual. click it, and then you will have the choice to check out either the HTML or the PDF version of it. i like the PDF version because it's easier to navigate. rust is a big issue ...

Re: axle questions

135 on all cylinders is fine, no problems there. lots of life left in it! what kind of noise is it? CVs tend to clunk while bearings tend to whine/grind/groan. a bad bearing shouldn't affect steering that much. there can be some play where the CV enters the diff but not much, and there should be non...
