Got a question on the steering racks in these.
I cannot find new bushings for them anywhere, however I can find bushings for RWD corollas. They look pretty similar.
Does anyone know if these would fit the Tercel rack, power steering and manual steering?

I'm assuming this is the site. The Professor wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 10:02 am SuperPro carries bushings for both the front and rear anti-roll bars on AL25s.
Very nice parts, I am for sure going to try the 4-link bushings they're selling as mine are shot.
Thanks for pointing this out, never heard of SuperPro.

I sadly can't find anywhere to get the bushings I need for where I need them. I'm gonna try making a set of bar to body links from some steel plates,
bolts, and hockey pucks I've got laying around. These seem fairly straight forward to fabricate. I'll be sure to post some measurements and what not.

The mount on the body is fine, but the rubber is pretty much done. The nut and threads are also pretty rough so I guess my next project will be
making new sway bar links from scratch.

Re: Body patch panels
If you're at all handy with a welder, sheet steel, and body fill, or have a friend who is, I'd recommend making some. I've only seen one site that claims to have fenders for these, and they go for $400+ CAD. I think the site was called Amayama. While my results were never perfect compared to a clean...

Always worth a shot, I'm sure someone could use the parts, and I imagine those door cards could clean up nice.

Re: Verdict on AE86 & AE82 Springs
Interesting. That's something I might look into when I get around to doing the Monroe rear air shocks.
I've seen a couple all-trac Corollas in a yard not long ago so I'll have to see what's left of them. My mom used to drive one so I'll have to see if any
of the parts from it got saved.

Re: 2nd Gen 4A-FE Swap
which headgasket? the upper one has the correct larger coolant holes at the back, but it says it is for the 4 valve design, the lower, for the 5 valve design, does not have those holes at the back of the headgasket. what would that price be in USD? seems rather costly. Lower one, and it would be ro...

Verdict on AE86 & AE82 Springs
So after a few months of driving on AE82 front springs and AE86 rear springs I've come to a verdict on using these. While these springs to fit and "work", they're defiantly not ideal. 20210414_183044.jpg It might be hard to tell from the picture, the front of the car sits up higher than th...

Re: Texas T4WD 7AGE Project
Very true on aftermarket manifolds. They seem to be almost unreasonably expensive sometimes. Have you considered cutting/shortening the runners on the RWD manifold at all? That was something I considered doing if the 4A-FE manifold didn't clear with my plans. Not sure how that would affect the perfo...

Re: 2nd Gen 4A-FE Swap
For sure on going for reliability. Hopefully this new engine goes for another 300,000KMs like the 3A did. I did a little research and thankfully Toda makes a MLS head gasket for the 20V heads for RWD applications. https://www.toda-racing.co.jp/en/product/gasket/4ag.html It's a little bit more than a...

Re: Window troubles
Tore my whole door apart, problem is the regulator gear teeth like what was said. I'll try loading up some welds on them and shaping them first.
I at least managed to get my window to fully roll up in the mean time, I was starting to get worried about some rain on the way.

Re: 2nd Gen 4A-FE Swap
curious to know why they kept up dating the connecting rods over the various model of the same engine. the second one looks beefy strong. I wonder if there is any difference in weight. If I had to make a guess, I'd say for the late BP early SP rods, they were made more beefy to accommodate the 4A-G...

Re: Window troubles
I'll take a look inside the doors tomorrow. Thank god it's not the plastic stripping. If the gears are worn down enough I'll try some filler rod and shape it like Mark suggested until I can make the hour drive to where I know there are Tercels in a yard. I do eventually want to have a full set of sp...

Window troubles
Been having some troubles rolling my front windows up and down over the past few months. They were always a little rough since I bought the car last May, but recently they've finally given up. I remember seeing a video Robert Walker uploaded a while ago about these windows getting out of alignment a...
