Re: New 88 tercel wagon bigger tires
I recently purchased a set of Forceums ATZ-R. They're $280ish on eBay and are definitely worth it.

Re: Running warm - multiple bad OEM t-stats??
Alright, dusting off this thread. I finally changed my waterpump this weekend. I had a few new GMB pumps ready and waiting. The old waterpump didn't spin very easily and was a bit "gritty" when compared to the new one. While I had everything apart, I verified the Aisin thermostat is workin...

Not a problem! I think the lens will fit in a small priority box which is not very expensive. I think it's $9, but I can verify this first before shipping.

Re: 1986 SR5 - part out.
Would the driver door window be considered a medium size item? I shipped a driver window to California last year via UPS and it was $90 for them to wrap it, box it (their own box) and transport it. If you're unable to find anything locally or on car-part.com or similar websites, I can definitely ge...

1986 SR5 - part out.
Hey all, parting out this 86 SR5. It has 162,000 engine runs, trans goes into all gears and 4wd works. I wanted to repair the control arm rust, but there is also title issues and I think the whole package will be too much work to repair. Local pickup in Grand Rapids, MI or nearby for bigger parts. I...

Re: Oil drain plug gasket
Reviving a really old post. I am hopefully going to try and repair mine as well. My 84 is constantly leaking oil and I cannot get it to stop! No matter how many different gaskets/seals I try.
I used some oil dye to verify that it is for sure leaking from my drain plug.

Re: Running warm - multiple bad OEM t-stats??
your tstat installed in the right direction? It is in the correct direction. They (thankfully) are not able to be installed backwards. The engine was rebuilt a few years ago and the block was hot tanked and very thoroughly rinsed out. The pipe on the cylinder head was cleaned out well and the head ...

Re: Running warm - multiple bad OEM t-stats??
The coolant overflow bottle is full. I initially looked at that when I first started noticing it was running warm. I was driving through a massive snowstorm and it was running hot. I did test the most recent thermostat in water. I dropped it in just before it was boiling and it opened up. I didn't c...

Re: Running warm - multiple bad OEM t-stats??
I am positive it's bled of air bubbles. I ran it on an incline with a coolant funnel and squeezed the coolant hoses while it was running. I have noticed the same thing. It runs a bit hotter with the heat on. My other T4s haven't done this. But I am still troubled by the fact that my lower coolant ho...
