there is a bolt up near the front of tranny that he thought was a fill plug he pulled that out, and also pulled out the rear drain plug (they look the same according to him except one is longer and has a spade cut or something on the inside end) he says he could have mixed them up but he figured sin...

thats odd because i was born in portland, me and all relatives live in eastern mass

but i grew up in boise idaho and live here now

im pretty sure we just need to fix the bolts under there shifting was fine before my friend screwed wit hthose

so after i put in the new halfshafts front axles, my friend and i drained the transmission fluid and filled it back up with 4.1 qts but he thinks he messed with the wrong bolts under there or something for a week it was hard to get into reverse then for a few days it would only go into reverse after...

its pretty much a given you are going to lube up your driveway or garage, unless its not your first time changing tranny oil on the tercel

my old muffler, had about 3 holes in it, wasnt loud at all and sounded like a normal car

then while 4x4ing the muffler got knocked off thanks to a monster truck jump, it sounded the same after that haha, but i got a brand new muffler for 70 bucks because i was trying to pass emissions at the time

we ended up buying clear tubing, putting the end of the containers nozzle into the tube, the tube fit nicely into the back filler hole (we had the back jacked up nice and high) then we poked a hole in the bottom of the oil container, and shoved the air compressor in that hole only took 30-60 seconds...

so maybe drain fluid back to min (if pads are worn) replace, test drive and if light comes on, add more fluid back up to max


i cant even see the min/max lines on my brake fluid res. so i just guess but i checked my brakes while changing the front transaxles they still look alrighty

need help filling this beast back up, our fuel line hose hookup is taking way too long (half an hour for one quart)

my friends sunbeam alpine has a hole in the floor to fill it up, should we drill? turkey baster with an elbow? how do you do this!!!

this was a big pain in my ass and my friends, frickin things

anyways now we are stuck, we cant figure out a good way to refill the oil in hte front differential, its taking way too long, anyone know a fast way??
