Re: Gambler SR5 - Introduction & mystery part
Simon, I sent you a PM. Thanks, Chris, it should be a lot of fun. I'm running in a caravan with family, we've also got a dirt prepped 1999 Dodge Neon and a stock 1997 Ford Taurus (the only car with AC). Hope to bump into a few other Tercs out on the trails. I recently added homemade Ivan “Ironman” S...

Re: Radiator
The inlet/outlet look the same as the Spectra I put in my '86 SR5.
The Liland Global website has very little information, but they indicate it is compatible with 83-86 Tercels. RockAuto and other sites list it with the 87-88 Tercel.

Re: Radiator
I got a Spectra Premium CU813 off of Amazon for my '86 SR5, but it appears to be out of stock there. User simon84 picked up shinny aluminum LILAND GLOBAL 813AA from RockAuto for his '87 and has good things to say about it . I don't see why that wouldn't work in an '86, and they seem to be in stock r...

Re: Gambler SR5 - Introduction & mystery part
Quick update. Just finished the lift. Used Moog 81043 springs and KYB 363037 struts up front with Monroe MA700 air shocks in the rear (at 50psi right now). Before https://i.imgur.com/QeA0KC2.png and after https://i.imgur.com/ei3xU5V.png I decided against dropping the cross member and transmission fo...

Re: Weber carb install help
@Duragauge, is that a fuel pressure regulator of some kind on your fuel line into the weber? Yes, it's a Holley 12-804 that's rated for 1-4 psi. It comes pre-set from the factory at 2.8 psi, which is just where I wanted it. I originally thought I wouldn't need/want one, since I was getting 3.5 psi ...

Air line location for Monroe MA700 shocks
Thanks, Simon. I have been working on a lift. I've got new CV axles, tie rods, wheel bearings, etc. on the way, so I'll look into dropping those things at the same time. I just installed Monroe MA700 air shocks in the rear and came up with a different way to run the air line. A few years ago user C1...

Re: Weber carb install help
Don't know if it will help or not, but here are a few photos of my Weber. It came with the car when I bought it, so I can't guarantee that it's hooked up correctly, though it does run alright.

Re: Craigslist Roundup 4/15/21
And for those who might be interested in 2-door and 4-door Tercels.... There's a 1987 2-door Tercel outside Albuquerque, NM for $700 , posted on 4/15. It's a manual transmission with a clean title. https://i.imgur.com/PZotQGm.jpg Near San Francisco, CA there is a clean, low-mileage 1984 Tercel 4-doo...

Craigslist Roundup 4/15/21
Seemed about time to see what's available out there again. To find these I did a nation-wide search with AutoTempest and then saved each search to my Craigslist account. I'm only searching the "cars & trucks" section of Craigslist. If you are on the hunt for a Tercel I'd highly recomme...

Also, don't worry about being out in Wenatchee. Folks who are interested in these have been known to travel long distances for the right deal.

Re: 1985 Toyota Tercel Wagon SR5 forsale
Welcome to the forum! Good to hear of another Tercel alive here in the PNW. You'll find that there are a number of members from Washington, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few reach out to you. As far as pricing, I've been tracking Craigslist ads for a few months and you could use those as a compar...

Re: New ole number seven, sadly he's getting put down.
Great find! I wonder if it was listed under the "auto parts" section on Craigslist? That's how I found mine for $500. It wasn't running so the owner listed it in the parts section (which also avoids Craigslist's $5 fee for cars).
