My car is a Toyota Tercel 1987 4WD 1452CC DX Wagon (AL25RG-ZWFDS)
This is may disassembled engine water pump.
I feel propeller direction is not the expected.
Please see this and tell weather it is correct?

I tested the torque. If your given values correct, my engine internal drag is in the normal range. I removed all the spark plugs. Car was in the neutral gear. I did put a 27cm long spanner to the nut of the crank pulley. I connected a spring scale to the other end of the spanner. I pulled the scale ...

How to assess the mechanical resistance of the engine?
My car is a 1987 Toyota Tercel DX Wagon RHD 1452cc manual driven car.
Since my car fuel economy is still not come upto the optimum, I want to assess whether engine mechanical resistance is so high or engine works under restriction.

Can handbrake cable outer joined?
My car is a 1987 Toyota Tercel DX Wagon RHD 1452cc manual driven car.
I want to increase the length of my handbrake cable outer by an inch.
Should I get a longer outer or can I join a piece along the cable with a steel sleeve?

I can understand that nuts and bolts can retain the cable. I will test with nipple with nuts. Will always use 1st gear until I become confident.

Ignition switch is usually turned off when remove the key. But in order to off the interior lights and radio I need to press a button to turn the key an extra slot (last slot) in the ignition switch. ( In other cars I havent seen a such, perhaps only in the 1987 Tercel wagon) I usually forget to do ...

I alredy had cut the cable by an inch.
I have a crocodile iron nipple in which cable could be tightened with a nut.
If after tightened the nut, and then heating the nipple with butane torch and put Lead, would that be safe?

You are correct.
It was the battery that caused the problem. I couldnt off the switch fully. So the clock was working for around 30 hours. It has eaten the battery charge.
After battery was fully charged, now problem was resolved.
