Got it to run! It is misfiring if I let off the gas. I believe I have a vacuum leak. I was finally able to start it by jumpstarting after using a hand vacuum pump to suck gas up to the carb. Their is no need to remove the drive line unless it's an automatic transmission cat!! Yeah I keep forgetting a lot of Tercels are manual, I'm used to automatics being the general rule rather than the exception. I know the differentials are fine with rolling, and I keep forgetting that manuals don't...

The reason for it being "universal" is that it's not uncommon for cars to have the same platform and therefor share a lot of their framework. The cars that share the hitch are probably on the same platform.
