Perhaps a prescription for medical grade products is involved?

Mark, where you live it shouldn't make much difference at all.
But, have ever opened your hood, on a summers day and felt a blast of hot air escape as you opened it?
Those are the days when that little tube will fulfil it purpose.

Re: Some odd Clutch/driveline issues
This is interesting. I have always eye-balled the alignment and never had a problem, in fact the only time I have had a problem was when I was using a tool but perhaps the issue was with the "tool" holding it?? I have also found that putting a jack under the front of the engine can give yo...

Re: 82' sedan $850 (Vancouver-area, Canada)
Whats up with the roof/mldg above the windscreen?
Poor resolution pic and while some of it might be explained as reflection, it still looks hinky.
I suspect they misplaced a decimal on the mileage.
I really dislike when the pictures and the words don't match up.

Re: Importing into Canada
Years ago, when we did import inspections (in those days, any shop licensed to do safety's could do an import inspection.) Sometime after the advent of RIV the Ontario Gov't, with all their wisdom, determined the public would be better served with a national chain being the designed inspector (CTC)....
Re: Next car
I loved my T4. Fun, reliable and a blast to drive, if you know how to drive that is. Easy to work on and parts are CHEAP and the gas mileage is fantastic. Wife has a RAV4 (2nd gen). (4cyl, 5spd) It sucks the life out of me every time I get behind the wheel of it. ABS, traction control, side impact a...

Re: Fog Lights
I wouldn't sweat it, we used to upgrade lighting systems on just about everything back when I was at the speed shop. We always built heavy gauge harnesses with relays but we never ran into a car that couldn't handle the load. Early 80's corolla's aren't that different, electrically and we did hundre...

I don't know about where you guys live, but around here, -30C is a lot more tolerable with a good heater.

Re: 86 T4 SR5
Sadly, it all went together as a lot.
No worries.
Have always believed in paying things forward, so I just see this a down payment on what I owe.
I think it went where it was needed the most.
Nice lady, hopefully it treats her as well as it did me.

Re: 86 T4 SR5
Sold for WAY less than I wanted but at least the parking problem is solved. Just in time, got an inch of snow overnight, all melted now but its getting closer by the minute. I'll be around and check back often, like the community around here and no doubt there will be another turtle in my future. 19...

Can't argue with you there.

Maybe you'd also wanna look at the front sway bar, there's a thread on it and it's well worth investigating even just for piece of mind.

Re: 86 T4 SR5
Wish I knew, I much prefer them to the plastic variety and they do work well. If I thought I could get them off without ruining them, I would but I know better. Clearly my "what I think it's worth" is way out of whack for the local market. Which is incredibly funny given all the cars I loo...
