Re: You know the strangest thing happened today....
gnarnold, I am sorry you are having a rough day, but appreciate your sharing. I must be a little tired, as I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, "beat this car to the width of a sheet of paper". Hang in there friend, I'm hoping to join the club soon. When things get real bad, I'll ca...

Re: 1985 Tercel for sale in Fayetteville, Arkansas
I would be curious about the car, pics look like a used wholesaler or auto auction. Closer than most for me and I hope to get one sometime. My 95' Prizm is at 305K and doing fine, but I've got a son turning 16 next summer, so there may be room for another car.

Pics would be great, any possibility you could deliver to northwest MO on your way by?

Thanks fellas, The $500-$600 is what I figure it may be worth. He's listed it for $1,000 but indicated there is some play, I can't see going over $600 if everything else looks pretty good. However, they aren't easy to find here in the Midwest, but I've seen a few come across CL. I'll let you know ho...
84' SR5
Hey All, A fellow (not me, yet) installed a rebuilt head on a Tercel only to sheer a fuel pump bolt. He tried to drill it out and it sounds like he drilled some type of hole "along side" the bolt which still hasn't been removed. He figures it will need a new head, but I wanted to hear from...

Re: Just a wannabe for now :)
Thanks fellas,
Good to know about the PNW as I see more of the cars for sale up there than anywhere. The BC car would be about like driving to the PNW, what are the difficulties of purchasing a Canadian car and driving it home to the US?

Re: Just a wannabe for now :)
Hey All, I'm using saved searches on Craigslist for about a dozen cities and use searchtempest as well. This site has been good to watch also, but where should I be looking geographically to find a decent, minimal rust all trac? My buddy who has visited the Northwest coast indicated everything is ru...

Re: 83 SR5 Sunroof Car 130K original miles $1,800 Minnetonka, MN
OK, I've learned to curb my sarcasm, as it tends to be hurtful as often as playful or funny (particularly towards individuals). However, I find the sarcasm in this commercial comical and liked the salesman's ability to laugh at himself and the car. Now, as to the market, I assume he's aiming for the...

Re: Just a wannabe for now :)
Thanks guys, I didn't state it, but AT is not an option. I love my MT and the 95' Prizm is almost fun to drive. Are all of the Corolla All Tracs wagons full time 4WD with a diff loc for bad conditions? vs the Terc which are FWD until engaged, and then 4WD?and does that create wear issues on the extr...

Re: Just a wannabe for now :)
Hey All, Not looking to get flamed, but as I study the Toyota 4WD options, I seem to be leaning towards the All Trac wagons. EFI, a little more power and cruisability (most of my driving is 70 mph on the Interstate). The All Tracs probably aren't quite the off-road specialist the Tercs are, but 99+%...

Re: Just a wannabe for now :)
Good to know. I fit in the Prizm well, but it sits pretty darn low. As I get older I can see getting in & out as being difficult.
