Re: Camber adjusting cam

That looks like a universal kit. The original is a collar that slides into one of the bolt holes on the shock, and has a lobe to adjust the camber. This place seems like they can still get them. # 48194 and 48198A in the pictures https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=51116...

Hey Keegan, Definitely a M/T car. I look forward to watching you race sometime. Chris Sounds good. I am waiting for tax moneyz to finish my build. Still need cams, cam gears, clutch, head gasket, knock sensor, fuel pressure regulator, figure out what fuel to use, break it in, then get it tuned. The...

NWMO,

Do you recall if it was a stick or automatic? If it's a stick, Im going to go pull the tranny to have as another spare for my '81 autox car.

Re: 7age rebuild for 1981 tercel

Just a small update. Attached the rear main, oil pump, did some small modifications to the adapter plate, and sandwiched it all together using FIPG. Also, gotta fix an indent on my oil drain hole. Not sure how that happened...

Re: 7age rebuild for 1981 tercel

Very troublesome and constant maintance requirments: on a 3ac with 11.25:1 compression ratio, and fully polished and grooved combustion chamber, I would have to replace the head gasket every 3-4 months, running premium. with careful surfacing of the block deck and head face, chased and cleaned thre...

Re: Parts car

That is indeed an ‘83. How much snow did you get in StJoe? We were in Independence/Lees Summit Saturday and Sunday. We left at 11:00 Sunday morning. That was fun driving on 435 through the snow with three children in the van ages 22 mo to 8 years. And Petros is definitely on to something with the G...

Re: 7age rebuild for 1981 tercel

the area around the combustion chamber has the most amount of metal on it, you can take out a fair amount of metal around the combustion chamber without worry (I have cut into a lot of heads, including toyota heads). up to 1/8" without issues, but mostly you want to smooth out any ridges, corn...

Re: 7age rebuild for 1981 tercel

That high compression might be rough on the head fast with pump gas. I would advise removing metal from the combustion chambers, clean them up, enlarge as much as practical. You might also consider taking some material off the piston crown as will, the metal is very thick there. Do it evenly so the...

Re: Isolate front brakes?

Don't cha love missouri? Ugh... My first question is, where are you taking it, and how thoroughly are they going to look it over? Second question is, where is the leak? Third question, are you going to fix the leak, and if so, are you going to run new lines, or salvage whats left? A few ideas come t...

Re: Auction in Strong City, KS on Saturday

Hey Chard & Diarmait, The fellow who purchased the south KS Tercel needs to move it. No title, pretty rough, but I’ve indicated I would come save what I could for $$ and presumably he would scrap the rest. Any thoughts?? It shouldn’t be too bad to drop the tranny, any tricks? I assume the wheel...
