Re: Transmission on Ebay - $450 in Georgia
Sounds like I need to find an assistant! The yard I go to pulls all the wheels and sets the cars on the ground...pretty annoying. I think It'll be a while before I'm ready to pull the trans out of it. Yea, this car is not wrecked but it's pretty well gutted now. At the rate I'm buying parts off of i...

Re: Greater Seattle Area Tercel Meet & Greet
Spare Tercel...haha...I have one of those too! Maybe we could schedule a breakfast/meet somewhere before a camping trip? Another thing we did in my BMW "club" was have a "tech" day once in a while at someone's house. I put tech in quotes cause mostly it was eating snacks and sipp...

WTB Black SR5 interior parts - Tweed, not Plaid
Hello all, If anyone has a front passenger door panel in the black tweed pattern, I'd love to buy it. I'm also in search of a black 3rd brake light cover, and whatever that little access panel cover below the 3rd brake light cover is called. I'd also really like a good driver's seat in the tweed pat...

Re: Transmission on Ebay - $450 in Georgia
Yea, not sure about the whole "We'll just assume 60k" but I figured any tranny is worth nabbing at this point. Speaking of...the 83 SR5 parts car in the yard I go to still has the tranny...305k on the dash. The car wasn't wrecked and the yard doesn't know why it was sent there. Any way to ...

Re: Well shit. ..
Turns out my memory fooled me, or the brown dust fooled my memory...either way the column cover is more of a grey than a brown. It's in perfect shape though, just needs a wash...perhaps it could be painted? Let me know if you still want it. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4902/45869693944_2adfdfb125_...

Older post but the link still works. Man, those look like some mars rover vehicles! I bet that was an amazing trip.

Re: FSM question
Hmm...I'll see what I can do with the regulator then...maybe just buy a new one as I sprayed all working parts with silicone. I unbolted the channel from the regulator in the down position but when I bolted it back in with the 7.52" specification (again in the down position) the front bolt was ...

Re: New Tercel 4WD Owner in Washington State
Ah, darn...for whatever reason, my 86 lost a door panel somewhere before she came into my care. It's proving to be a hard piece to locate. The search continues. My seats are pretty shot too. I think I'm going to try and find some similar material, take apart the passenger seat, make a pattern and at...

Re: Greater Seattle Area Tercel Meet & Greet
Did this happen? I have a vintage BMW motorcycle and have been to several rallies and was thinking how fun it would be to have a Tercel rally. Harts pass looks like a really fun road! We should definitely try and set something up...an overnight camping would be ideal. Would anyone be interested in M...

Re: Well shit. ..
I just ran into this on my 86 SR5. It's missing the rear passenger side molding with the SR5 logo. I pulled the piece off of the 83 SR5 car in the yard. However, the 83 has little plastic mounting tabs that pop into the door but the 86 does not have holes in the door for these tabs. Has anyone else ...

Re: FSM question
So this is the measurement that I followed...the 7.520", but it was incredibly hard to get the front bolt installed as it was almost hidden behind the door and as soon as I rolled the window down, the entire bottom channel pulled toward the front of the car several inches and the window pulled ...

FSM question
Hello all, I'm sorry if this has been addressed somewhere but I couldn't find it. Is there a difference in the FSM's by year? I now have an 83 DLX with an 83 manual and an 86 SR5 (Dec 86 so an 87?) with no manual. It appears that most differences are cosmetic but I am trying to align the passenger w...

Right on...I'll snap a few pics of the column cover this evening and post them so you can be sure you want it.
I know I'm new here so if you do want it, how about PM me your address, I'll box it up and ship it to you, and you can Paypal me when you receive it?

Re: New Tercel 4WD Owner in Washington State
Thanks for the link. Yea, it was pretty hard to trace the old boots accurately cause they were so deteriorated. I got a half yard of vinyl though so when I can get your pattern printed I'll have another go. Good thoughts on the cargo cover...I'll snag it today. Has anyone on here replaced their head...
