Re: Need help funding Toyota Tercel suspension project.
Also...I learned long ago. on the streets of NY, that people are more likely to give you money if you're funny about it. A guy followed me and a friend for about a block telling us jokes...they were so good we stopped and listened for a minute...then he asked us for money. Gave him a $20. The fellas...

Re: Need help funding Toyota Tercel suspension project.
Well said Professor. Not saying this applies to you HMB but this gofundme stuff is getting ridiculous. People just asking strangers for money? And online?! I remember when bums would sit on a corner with a sign...now they have cell phones and the loot just rolls in. I just finished my Master's degre...

Re: favorite tire size for stock rims?
Dredging up this thread as I'm now shoe shopping. Found some 90s Speedlines I like but unsure of size/offset/hub stuff. I've never bought rims for any of my vehicles. Anyway, the wheels I am interested in are 14x6 +38 4x100 with a 58mm hub bore and have 185/60s on them. Anyone have experience with a...

Re: ISO: Wiper switch assembly from a 1985-88 SR5 wagon
Did you get this figured out? I pulled the switch assembly off of an 83 SR5 and plugged it into my 83 DLX but the intermittent failed to work. I recently pulled the motor as well but I haven't tried to install it yet. Would swapping the motor along with the switch give me intermittent wipers? It's s...

Re: Transmission on Ebay - $450 in Georgia
I could get them to forklift it up and set it on one of the racks that they have. I asked them last time I was there and they said they would. I also asked if I could buy the whole car for $200 and they said sure but I'd have to take it with me but I don't have any room for it.

dampen enthusiasm (sorry, I had to) Haha..good one. I was suggesting camping for Memorial Day or Labor Day though...trying to get it planned anyway. Petros, glad to hear the car is coming back together. Your plan sounds awesome to me! As long as it's a weekend, just let me know when and I'll come o...

Re: 1983 Toyota RV-5 Concept Car (T4wd base)
I agree...seems like a weak point and potential leaks for sure. But it does make a funky little car even more funky!
Speaking of weak unibody design...how about the Nissan Prairie? No B-pillar?! That's crazy...I like all the head room though, or rather, my dog would like it.

Re: Check out these door decals!! I'm drooling!
I think you're right...that double sized pocket and shifter set back a bit is the giveaway right?
Even so, I love the decals. I want to put some funky 80's decals on mine after I get the paint the way I want.

Re: Window regulator channel help needed
Turns out it was the rubber glass runs. They were just old and became rigid instead of pliable. I was lucky and pulled two good ones off the parts car at the junk yard. The back passenger window rolls smooth now and I'm just waiting with my fingers crossed that the front passenger window will stay g...
