Surprisingly the runoff from both seals on my 84 barely touched the belt. It was due anyway. The cam seal did simulate a leaking head gasket at first glance. Almost everything from that one went over to the alternator side and ran back along the head gasket. Of course the water pump shaft seal went ...

Water pump can stay put for the crank seal job. However, if you think it's still OE, I would add that to the list. This is the worst area of our engines for overlapping labor/preventive maintenance. Might as well do the cam seal too. Together these 2 seals were the worst oil leaks on both my runners...

Here's my simple egr/pcv mod- http://www.mediamax.com/splatterdog/Hosted/weber/100_1085.JPG I have been considering putting a heat spacer back in as I have had some hot soak issues in the higher summertime temps. There is a 7mm available for the webers. Should still clear the hood with the short fil...

I would also be prepared to throw a timing belt kit at it too. It will be off for the pump job. Also there is an o-ring seal between the pump housing and the front of the block that usually doesn't come with the pump. Easiest thing is to go straight to Toyota for that one. Remove and install the who...

Anyone know if 1990 miata stock 14" alloys have any fit or rubbing issues?

My pics are mostly back up(rant)
My pic host has spent the last week trying to renovate their site causing almost complete unavailability. Finally most of my pics are showing up now. Only after I had to figure out on my own that all my links had to be renamed. Now if they all worked.....
I guess you get what you pay for.

Don't know if you have oxygenated gas where you are. Todays fuel stores very poorly. I've seen quite a few jello filled carbs and tanks on seasonal small engines the last few years. We can get non-oxy here but have to shell out for premium to get it. On the bright side, there's always free yard equi...

1-2 sounds like front axle(s). See recent threads in parts forum. Inexpensive brand new ones are available these days. 3 I would look for vacuum leaks first. Many times it's very easy to find a broken hose. Harder leaks can be found with a can of carb clean. Give short bursts around all the vacuum p...
