HG,
If you’re referring to the rear sway bar, I should have one, but not the links for connecting it. With heavier rear springs, I don’t miss the sway bar.
There is also the bar in the front for the control arms that may be called a sway bar, which are you looking for?

Dream,
No experience with 2WD, but I would assume not as the AT and MT surely bolt in differently.

Re: working on Terc2
Yes, this is a factory access with a plug, but it’s small enough to make access a challenge with tools.

Your welcome Paul,
Here is a picture from the bottom after installed.
I’ll replace the plug before daily driving.

Re: working on Terc2
Paul and David, Thanks for the comments. As David suspected, I’ve had the “captive” nut spin in the past (on other Tercels) and want to avoid this in the future on this car. It’s been a while, but these bolts did come out, though I believe one of the captive nuts had more play/movement than I wanted...

working on Terc2
Hey friends, The transmission failed on the Rusty Frog a few weeks back. While it may have been a little quicker to swap the new transmission in, I decided to get my second Tercel roadworthy. At any rate, I got the front end “back together” with new bushings all around and rebuilt struts. I still ne...

Thanks a bunch, sounds great!! I’m curious about low end torque and how it does off-roading?

Great to hear! My wife and I have always talked about visiting Big Sky country, maybe next spring we’ll make it happen.

Adkterc,
We would love as much info as you care to share on your swap. I’m sure many of us here have talked about it, but this is the first I’ve heard where somebody got it done. Pics, details, whatever you have to share please.

Re: Tercel differential rebuild questions
I’ve not been into one of these differentials. However, my son and I worked on his 76’ Maverick rear diff which (unlike the Tercel) requires removing the pinion nut to remove/renew the oil seal. We marked the nut before removing it, reused the “crush” washer and torqued back to spec, 125 ft-lbs as I...

rocksy,
Based on your description of symptoms, I wonder about fuel delivery to the carb. You might try gravity flow directly to the carb or letting the fuel pump pull from an auxiliary tank.
