Re: Cardone Reman Distributor $24

I did finally get one of my remans tested, I'd had them sent to Montana because I thought I was going there sooner but ended up waiting an extra couple of weeks. I drove to Montana with my old dizzy and swapped it there. The reman distributor seems to work fine. I definitely did have more power on t...

Re: Beating about the bush!

I used the poly control arm to sway bar bushings shown in the link above, seemed to fit fine. I can't really speak to how they changed the ride quality because I changed out all the other front end bushings at the same time, along with some other suspension and steering stuff. I elected to go with f...

Re: Cardone Reman Distributor $24

I think part of it is that the 83 didn't have an HAC so there is no 3rd port on the dizzy from that. One of my advances has two, the other has three but the diaphram for the inner one isn't functional anyway. I don't currently have an HAC but I wonder if you could T it into the other port's line. I ...

Re: Cardone Reman Distributor $24

It'd be worth it just for the vacuum advance! I repaired one diaphragm on mine but it'd nice to have a fully functional one.

Re: Cardone Reman Distributor $24

Wow, good to know, I'll throw it in and test it immediately. I agree that for the price even just for the internal parts would probably be worth it, I have another spare used one but the bearing is starting to fade on it.

Thanks!

Cardone Reman Distributor $24

Was wandering around lost on ebay and stumbled upon this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/122797438277 $24 bucks!! They say they have overstock hence the price but thats way too low. I ordered one, I'll update when I get it. It says 30 day returns too. Edit: Oops I should have put this in the parts forum, ...

The 4wd shifter shaft is a likely spot, you can find info on the transmission seals here: viewtopic.php?t=11801

Re: Mismatched front springs

Thank you, after looking at photos I'm pretty sure the shorter one is stock, I'm not sure what the longer one is but found a post by Petros saying he'd inspected a pair, I think from a 2wd wagon that were slightly thicker and slightly longer but the same height. I'm going to try to get one or a pair...

Mismatched front springs

Well, I made it a whole year without owning a T4WD but finally broke down and bought a local fixer upper that I'm trying to get going. It needs suspension work and I'm swapping stuff out while trying to give it a bit of a lift, but when I took apart the front struts I realized the springs are mismat...

Everett - $500 - 1984 Toyota Tercel SR5 Wagon 4WD - NO SPARK

Just saw this one on craigslist, good looking car that'd be easy to fix up.

Selling Snowflake! White '85 $1500 **Sold**

Unfortunately I can't justify having two cars around and am keeping my TDI and therefore selling my white 85 4x4 wagon Snowflake. I saved her 7 or 8 months ago and put in a working transmission and did a bunch of other work, all listed in the CL post. She still has some bugs but is a really strong r...
