Re: Brake lights
These problems can be a real pain to find at times. Looking at the wiers where they go from the body to the hatch is a good place to start. Bad grounds generaly cause lights to be dimer than usual or not to work at all. A real help in trouble shooting electrial shorts ( blowen fueses) is to make up ...

Re: Dumb Timing belt mistake = Oil Pump trouble
After reading your post I went to the s/m to look at the break down of the pump. Ive rebuilt 2 of these engines, and a lot of others. Im getting a little older and my memory isnt what it use to be, just seems their would be a Woodruf Key (looks like a Nickel cut in half) that would drive the driven ...

I jacked up the traney and removed the mount to ga...

Re: .125 milled head

When I first did this I thought it would realy screw up the valve timing but compansated for it with ignition timing. The engine will ping if luged in 4th gear ...

.125 milled head
This engeie is a 3ascv swirl control valve i live at 5500 ft in montana it has 60,000 miles on it , it runs real strong. I'm in the middle of rebuilding a 83 4x4 with 230,000 and this engine will run circles around it .It will get rubber in 2nd gear. Larry
