Re: Looking for a rear cargo cover shade thingy and stereo

I picked up a Pioneer stereo from Crutchfield with USB and 1/8" inputs and it came with a Toyota harness, with shipping it was under $100. Still need to put a set of speakers in the back but there are a few other things that need to come first.

Re: Other hobbies?

Another aspiring photographer here. I also enjoy skiing and spending time in the garage tuning skis (several pair of my own, the wife's, the daughter's, friends, neighbors etc). During the summer I spend a bit of time waterskiing but may see if my shoulders will hold up to getting back into whitewat...

Re: Just got back...1986 from Petros

Windshield got replaced today. Roof racks and cargo box are on it. The rest of the week it will be headed up to the ski area to squeeze in those last few days before they quit spinning the lifts. Next items that will be upgraded/fixed will be the struts, and the rear window wiper (the washer works),...

Just got back...1986 from Petros

Flew to Seattle this weekend to buy Petros' 1986 project that he had rescued last spring or thereabouts. We had been emailing about it for the last couple of months and nothing was coming up locally that I had as much confidence in as getting one from someone who knows these things so well. It was o...

Re: '84 SR5 eBay > INCREDIBLE CONDITION ! 37K MILES! <

I saw the same auction mentioned in a thread on TGR (tetongravityresearch) so there RE people from far and wide looking at this prize. But looking at the bid history I would guess that the last real bid was at $6800 (bidder actually had several transactions).

Re: PacificNorthwest Snowpocalips of 2-23-2011

Petros, that seems like a mighty fine dump of snow for late in the season nice pics... Great to get a bluebird day after such a storm very rare. Here is a few vehicle images from my current residence in Japan after a storm where we ended getting 2meters of snow in 36hours. Still, everything seems t...

Re: Why aren't there movies made like this anymore?

Because there are no longer any drive-in theaters around to show them at? Seems like that was where those kind of movies were always playing.

Re: Starting to search...

Thanks for the info. I had an '80 Subaru wagon a long time ago that I had run up to about 175K with the only issues being a clutch that had to be done on the Oregon Coast and CV joints a couple of times. Would definitely stay away from the mid-90's version as the early 2.5l have serious head gasket ...

Just registered, currently looking for a car that will be primarily used as transportation for skiing for a family of three. The 4WD Tercel is on the list along with a Subaru wagon (older with true 4x4), Civic RT4WD (not sure I'm wild about the 4WD system) and an assortment of SUVs (Cherokee, 4Runne...
