Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

Should I do any pre-start carb adjustments or checks before installation based off of anyone's personal experiences? I am also curious how long the swap will basically take me to complete...I am mechanically inclined so I am not going into this blindly? Just hoping I could do it in one day on a week...

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

I don't know why everyone runs fuel pressure regs on their Weber's, I never ran one with mine and it never had an issue with flooding the float bowl, including a brand new fuel pump.... I have heard that the WEBER doesn't like the extra pressure and cause leaks...for the $20 extra bucks for a gauge...

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

Found some postings of the WEBER topics I was asking about in initial posting...advance search worked on the second attempt for me. I saw that Tom mentions eliminating the charcoal canister and just running the vapor hose out of a frame rail hose so you can't smell the vapors. Where would it hook to...

WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

So I finally ordered my WEBER carb conversion kit and all the other accessories to go along with it. It will be here tomorrow and hopefully should be on and running this weekend. Along with the K740 carb kit I also ordered the short air cleaner and assembly as well as the Holley fuel pressure regula...

Re: WEBER choke type?...TURTCEL

irowiki...I had the same thoughts as you on the HAC. I have my EBCV disconnected and everything else in that system seems to be unaffected by its removal. This could be an experiment worth trying since an EGR block off plate can easily be remade if it doesn't work out as planned.

Re: WEBER choke type?...TURTCEL

[quote="Petros"] At high altitudes there is less oxygen so you need less fuel or it runs too rich, using the choke would make it even more rich. I do not see how that can help. The HAC leans the mixture by bleeding air under the carb and it advances the spark timing (a low density charge b...

WEBER choke type?...TURTCEL

So I am getting ready to order my WEBER carb kit but I am unsure on which direction to go with on the choke set up. I have friends that run manual chokes set ups on their WEBER because of preference but it seems that most members here run electric. Here is where my thought comes in. I live at 350 fe...

Re: WEBER Outlaw Carb Kit...TURTCEL

Thanks Tom, that pretty much spells it out. I wasn't finding much info on the outlaw kit on the sites I found them on.

I am running all stock so the 32/36 looks like it will be my purchase.

WEBER Outlaw Carb Kit...TURTCEL

Looking at finally doing the WEBER swap but I was curious if anyone was familiar with WEBER's K740-38 outlaw carb kit? What is the difference between the carbs? The K740 kit says it is a progressive carb and the outlaw kit is said to be a synchronized carb. http://www.yotashop.com/weber-38-outlaw-ca...

Re: PCV Valves

I always try to stick with brands I am familiar with unless I have not heard of any listed. Then I refer to product information to see which ones are OEM replacements.

Re: F$%king printer...

I would call the manufacturer's tech line and see if they have any tips for you. I am by no means a person to ask a question about computers to, but I have had good luck with tech support before.

I agree, unfortunately it seemed to be a ghost problem...it was there, but I couldn't see.
