Re: Unidentifiable hose?!!

Tim, I feel for you. Many times I've awoken after a rough night down at Boobs 'n' Butts to find myself next to "unidentifiable ho's".

Re: Who remembers Speed Racer?

They actually made that out of Legos. No wait - I think it's a kit car built on a Fiero chassis (or maybe old Beetle pan)! At any rate it looks they got the dimensions fairly accurate. Just about every car guy has known another car guy who has half-assedly planned to make a life-sized Mach 5. Maybe ...

Clearly the best deal is the $9.99 paternity tester, just imagine your child support savings over 18 years. Even sweeter if you catch it off-sale for $5.99.

Re: Anyone parting out 14inch rims or tires?

I should ad that if your heart is set on 15 inchers, then second generation Miata wheels are an excellent choice. Very light, cheap, readily available and are even hub-centric to our cars. I picked up a near-perfect set for $100.

Re: Anyone parting out 14inch rims or tires?

I can't say I wouldn't put on some BMW 15" alloys if I had the chance to get at them cheaply. But when it comes to 14" wheels with a 4x100 bolt pattern, do the other measurements (hub size, etc) matter... You won't be able to get 15" 4 lug bmw wheels cheaply. Here in the US, the only...

Re: Improve fuel economy with foils attached to car

I always thought the Evos were high-speed storm chasers?!? I bet the car vortex generators are marketed to the democratic crowd who will gobble up any enviro-saving nonsense that comes across their computers. No wonder they are offered in "hey-I'm-saving-the-world" neon colors. Krickey.

Those are my favorite local yards to patronize, my area has 4 P'n'Ps. They are the most organized, get fresh cars constantly, have decent prices esp when you hit their sales, and will give cash back on returns within a month. If you go to the "car search" feature it will tell you what/how ...

They did Careflight the two people in the car just as a precaution. I don't know if they had some kind of g-meter in the car, they probably did, I just haven't talked to Jeremy since the wreck. As far as causal physics - it looks like a classic case of the driver not being able to see far enough aro...

Yet another friend cheats death....

This year my friend and local hotshoe amateur racer Jeremy Foley thought it would be a swell idea to run their autocross car up Pike's Peak. About a week ago they (Jeremy and co-driver) didn't think it was such a swell idea after all: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=jeremy+foley&sear...

Re: Any Tips for replacing front brake pads ?

While we are on the subject of brakes....Soon I will upgrade my fronts to the later vented rotors thanks to Synth's magical spacers. No idea when my j-yard calipers were last used so I wanted to clean them up a bit before installation. I plan to pop out the pistons and inspect/wipe the bores with a ...

Your jettings should work ok for your elevation and climate, assuming Costa Rica is 90* right now. You might go with bigger jets in the winter if the temp gets 30* + cooler. Here are my jets that work just great at 500 elevation and 95* : mains: primary 125 secondary 140 air: pri 160 sec 170 idle: p...

Can you elaborate on this, Dub? Not that I'm trying to get rich, just wondering exactly what you are saying. Interesting discussion here....

Re: Timing notch

Glen did you remove the dizzy recently? It sounds like you installed it one tooth off at some point. Crazy timing readings with the dizzy pushed all the way to one side can do this.
