Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL

I think the problem is that the pressure will eventually cause some of the seals to fail and start to weep.

Re: Gaskets between intake and exhaust manifolds

Interesting on using the gasket paper. Any thoughts on using both the gasket paper and the original metal gasket? Would this be better or worse than doing just one or the other? Might end up too thick and make the manifold surfaces not flat compared to one another? Thoughts?

Re: Gaskets between intake and exhaust manifolds

I'm not sure. As far as I can tell they did all of the work when they were connected and then disconnected them to powdercoat the exhaust manifold, which I didn't really ask for. They didn't give me the bolts back either, but I have the bolts from my donor 4ac manifold I can use.

Re: Gaskets between intake and exhaust manifolds

Thanks. I just looked through the exploded parts diagrams that were posted a few days back and it was not listed on the page with the manifold diagrams.

Re: Gaskets between intake and exhaust manifolds

I have the manifold to head gasket. What I need is the gasket that goes between the intake and exhaust manifold at the heat shield. As most have probably never separated the manifolds this is probably a much less common part to need. I'll probably end up using high temp gasket maker, but would prefe...

Gaskets between intake and exhaust manifolds

I am rebuilding my engine and had some port work done. The machine shop separated the intake and exhaust manifolds. I am getting ready to put everything back together, but cannot find the gaskets which go between the manifolds and the heat shield. The old gasket is in ok shape, but not perfect, so I...

I got mine from energysuspensionparts.com . Had a few week lead time as they had to dropship them from AU.

I've used uShip is the past. Sometimes you can get a good deal if you are flexible on timing, etc.

Re: Parts cars newly added to wrecking yards in central CA

If it is 4wd they tend to post it under "trim". The 86 in rancho says "Deluxe 4wd".
