Re: Rack and Pinion internal play?
Did you follow through with the replacement of your power steering rack & pinion, Bailey? How did it go? Any tips for someone who will need to do the same soon? It wasn't too bad from what I can remember. You just have to knock out the outer tie rods from the hubs, loosen the steering rod and s...

Re: Is this the correct cvs?
I believe the seals have to be installed at a particular depth, otherwise it will still leak.

Re: Looking to buy a 4WD in good working condition
Did I have the only tercel on earth with air bags? 1463813338972.jpg ha! those are awesome. can those be used to lift a Tercel from stock ride height to a lifted position? Where do they come from? do they cost much? I was thinking to cobble something together to go from road ride height to a stream...

Re: Radiator Fan On Full Time!
If I remember correctly, the fan switch is on the lower corner of the radiator. Maybe you left if disconnected?

Re: Weber carb install help
I haven't looked at my car in awhile but I have a weber as well. I think there are only 2 vacuum ports on the weber, both of which on my vehicle go to the vacuum advance ports on the distributor. I capped off or removed everything else. I live in Texas which is emissions friendly for old cars too. G...

Re: Car dies after two miles of driving
I am unsure of the importance of it, but I know there is a thick plastic spacer between the fuel pump and head that aligns the fuel pump arm on the cam lobe properly. I figure missing that spacer would allow the fuel pump arm not to lift properly and cause low fuel pressure. Just guessing here thoug...

Re: Gambler SR5 - Introduction & mystery part
If I can remember correctly, it is a pipe with a one way valve connected to the catalytic converter that sucks in air to help emissions. Might be critical to keep for emissions requirements depending on the state on which you reside. I know I lopped mine off and welded the hole shut when I first got...

Re: Stuck in 3rd gear
If your planning on doing it yourself, I would recommend using roberts (Xirdneh) youtube videos. I recently had to pull mine out because I lost 1st and 2nd gear. Got it torn apart and put back together in working order in good time. Here's the link to his channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe...
