Re: Interior parts interchangeable for all years?

There's an 88 tercel wagon that just entered the local pull and pay (Denver), I was trying to figure out if the front seats will swap into my 83 4x4... The junkyard one is 4WD...

Re: Alignment

So I did measure her, at the bottoms of the back of the front wheel well and the bottom of the front of the rear wheel well... Kinda by the stock jack points. She sits 11 inches off the ground.

Re: Alignment

Thanks. I'm gonna try to remember to take a tape measure with me to work tomorrow and check it out in the parking lot. I'll post here with my findings. And I only hear/feel the issue when turning sharp at low speeds, it's doesn't happen when driving straight, or even during regular turning or corner...

Re: Alignment

Well... Guess if they'll have to do that, then I may need to get on with checking the ride height and figuring out how much of the coil springs I'll need to cut off... No sense in having them notch the bolt holes until I've got the ride height and everything else situated.

Re: Alignment

I am thinking it might be the outer cv joints on the axles... Not thinking they're liking the new angles from the lift... Once the weather warms up a touch, may have to take the struts apart and cut part of the Springs off. I haven't measured yet, so I'm not positive but I think the front end sits h...

Does the 4AC or 4AGE bolt up to 6 speed manual 4x4 Trans? Same motor mount placements?

Colorado originally. Lived in Philly for a while too, not by choice...

Update... It only makes noise when I crank it to the left but not to the right.

U-be=You be going back the way you came...

I'll see what I can do about getting pics I've tried looking under the car with the wheels cocked all the way, can't see anything touching...

Re: Alignment

My rims are the exact ones that were bolted on in the factory and the tires are the recommended size. When just driving, everything handles well... 75mph on the highway to just putzing around town at 25mph... Except when I go to flip a U-be when I head out for work in the morning, or when I park it ...

Re: Alignment

Would the new tie rods cause a noise when turning the wheel all the way to one side?

Re: Alignment

Now I'm not sure if it's a rubbing sound or something connected to the fact that I just had both outer tie rods replaced... A little history on my baby... My parents bought her in 1985, the engine block was replaced at around 60k due to a bad oil pump. My dad drove her daily. My older brother learne...

Re: Alignment

Grinding out the lower strut mount bolt holes was what my mechanic said he could do to fix it. Wasn't sure if that was the best way to go about it. He just replaced my outer tie rods and now the tires rub on something when I go to crank the wheel all the way... Will that get alleviated once the camb...

Re: Usefull Info

I wanted to build all new strut towers up front and couldn't find new, stock coil springs, so I was given a part number for some that would fit but, lift the front end. Due to this lift, the camber is horrifically positive. How can I overcome this positive camber to get a good, healthy front end ali...
