Re: Snow/ice pile
The rear bumper on my red car is about to fall off. More focused on getting the new engine in however.

Re: Tire option 195/75/r14
Hteverow,
Yes, they certainly rub when making sharp turns but otherwise they do not. The rears come close to the front side of the fender but I have never had them touch. My car is lifted about 1.5 inches though. I doubt you could run them on a stock height car.

Re: Tire option 195/75/r14
Yes, they are the 195/75/14's and are 6 ply. They also sell a 205/75/14. I called the manufacturer and they said they are actually the same size but the 205's are bias-ply and are 8ply but not meant for the highway. They ended up being a lot taller than an actual 195/75 at closer to 26.5" inste...

M-PACT AT5306 clutch alignment tool on Rockauto. Less than $2 not including shipping. Also the PIONEER TAT5306 will work.

Re: After market cruise control
Although this isn't the same cruise control that you have, I thought I'd share some interesting original artifacts I found with one of my cars from its dealer installed cruise control.

Re: After market cruise control
Oddly, one of my cars has that same cruise control switch on the column that you have in the picture but I believe it was a replacement for the original "Specific Cruise Systems, Inc" control switch that must have gone bad because I also found the original in the car. I wonder if it was ju...

Re: Stuck valve!
Chris, Good luck. Sounds like you have everything figured out. And yes, lapping is easy. There are plenty of videos on YouTube but basically you use lapping compound and either a handle with a suction cup on the end to spin the valve against the seat or a drill and a rubber hose attached to the valv...

Re: Stuck valve!
Chris, My guess is the spring broke and caused all of this. If the spring broke, the valve likely would have dropped and then got bent by the piston hitting it. Those pistons will probably be fine to run as is as the damage doesn't seem to reach the cylinder wall and don't seem too deep from the pic...

Re: Possible names for hopeful regional gatherings
I like the idea of keeping it simple personally. I think Tercel Midwest Meet & Greet is an ideal name for it but I would be very interested in hearing other possible names for it.

Re: 185/80 R13 tires
Chris,
I would consider buying the 13's from you. What's funny is that I sold my one wheel like yours to Professor since I didn't have a set anyway haha.
I've been looking forward to the expo and the drive in a couple of weeks also.
