Re: Vacuum Advance

Finally bit the bullet and bought a new vacuum advance for the Tercel. Went to Pick N Pull and sucked on a dozen or so and all were as bad as mine. Even the wreckers had none. Luckily I can get one at cost, suggested list on them is $285.00, I paid $170.00. Anyone else have or had this problem, app...

Re: Trailer Hitch??

I use one of my 86 SR5 Wagons as a ranch truck. I am thinking of installing a trailer hitch on it so I can pull a very light 2-wheel trailer around the place. Anyone ever done this? Should not be difficult to fabricate a bracket and bolt it to the two hooking loops under the rear bumper. Any ideas?...

He also stated that it had locked up while test d...

Re: Uneven Compression... any advice?

It does not start due to low compression, and the readings (with oil) are as follows: timing belt <- 210, 185, 90, 165 -> transmission i agree that it should start in spite of the low readings. these cars keep running squirt oil in that low cylinder and try compression test again compression should ...
