Re: The T4WD community has lost another member
Sorry for your loss. Is his T4 still around? Could be a great memorial to remember him by.

Re: What a day to turn 200K
Brought this one back due to a reoccurrence, with yet another "parts" car. The Icehawk hit it while doing it's job this weekend, quite well as usual. Even had another ice fisherman yell "that's bad ass!" when he saw me auger a hole from the driver seat with no cold wind in my fac...

Re: Replacing airbags
Pretensioners are part of the airbag system, they "blow" too causing the belt to shorten up some before you eat the bag. Control module should also be replaced.

Yuck! Motorcraft has an aggressive rust removing chemical. Follow directions and don't leave it in too long if you try it, it's some strong stuff.

Re: water pump to heater core flow direction?
You need to pay dlb a visit, if he still has a Gates flush gun. It's the next best thing to a new core. I do still have mine. Simon, the next time you drive it out here we can use it on the Tercedes. It's been a while but I remember it being stupid simple -- just disconnect the upper and lower rad ...

Re: water pump to heater core flow direction?
Put a block heater in instead. Cheap, easy, and more effective. Having a core plug out also allowed flushing debris trapped at the bottom of the water jacket that even a Gates flush gun couldn't remove previously. I tried a heater hose heater on my first car and it didn't work well and somehow elect...

Re: 1987 Corolla FX 16
Still remember driving a Chevy Nova "twin cam", the only one I ever saw or at least worked on. It was more fun than the Iroc Camaro I drove the same day.

Get some bulk fusible link in the correct gauge and make your own. Sorry, don't know the correct size at this moment.

Re: A Tale Of A Tercel Tailpipe - Buyer's Remorse
The $20 clamp was out of line, otherwise my napa currently shows a list of only 52 cents less than what you paid. Bottom line is they might have charged what it took to make a profit. If it was a big shop and/or in a big city, so is the overhead. If it's a chain they might also lose 16 cents on ever...

Re: A Tale Of A Tercel Tailpipe - Buyer's Remorse
Is it still buyers remorse if you got a full refund?
The only fault I can see is if they didn't give you an idea of the cost beforehand.

That not so new car smell
For the inner juvenile in you. https://liquidass.com/ If their website doesn't get you amazon reviews might. Lot's of laughing before I added to cart and I'm sure there's more to come. It is truly authentic, and awful. https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Ass-LA-2-2-Pack/dp/B01BHU4SVS/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc...
