Re: Seats from other Toyotas?
https://i.imgur.com/mjlav8Q.jpg I wanted to show off my custom seat solution for my '85 Tercel 4WD! Found these killer Mk1a AW11 MR2 seats from a gentleman in California. To fit in the tercel, I cut the stock seat brackets off at the rivets, took some measurements and transplanted those stock brack...

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible!
It's funny, I've been thinking... if I had not spent all of these hours into cleaning that transmission, my crossmember and other parts, I could be done with the swap by now lol.

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible!
https://i.imgur.com/GyPB3TP.jpg I am just about done cleaning up my manual transmission/front diff, ready to start piecing my car back together! I've still got the engine to do a little bit of a checkup/refresh on but that should be easy enough. Just replacing some gaskets etc. https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: 3D printed Synchros?
Hello Tercel freaks, I wanted to return to this topic once more with some information I gathered during a manufacturing process course at Arizona State. I took a materials science/manufacturing tech elective and additive manufacturing was one of our discussed topics. The professor mentioned that in ...

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible!
The relay I photographed was under the kick panel near the fuse box. I honestly don't remember what it's function was anymore. Ah, I'll have to check the kick panel location next time I am at the parts car, thanks. No worries, I'll have another look through the forum info here - maybe its function ...

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible!
Hi eightfive4WD. It's been so long since I did that conversion. I seem to remember the car wouldn't crank until that relay was installed but I'm not sure anymore. For the wiring harness, both the automatic and standard plug into the same connector in front of the distributor. I did not have to do a...

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible!
https://i.imgur.com/yAbjPID.jpg Well, all that's left to do is everything. I've got my main prize removed from my parts car. https://i.imgur.com/ZZ74cAo.jpg I've been reading through the posts here about cutting out & stitching in the transmission tunnel. My issue is spacing, I want to make sur...

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible
I completed the 'sex change' operation on my '87 a/t car a couple months ago. Like you noted, the a/t floorpan seemed too "wimpy" to support the 4wd shifter and the whole top of the floorpan was shaped differently, so i cut it out of the donor car and screwed and glued it into the '87. Th...

Re: Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible
http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t508/marlinh/070-1.jpg The green relay on the top right is what I swapped from the manual donor car to the automatic. There is a space on the relay panel for it. The only other wiring to do is connect or jumper the safety switch at the pedal. The wiring harness h...

Re: Looking for a posting
Hi, When I was previously perusing posts I found one on good vacuum set-up for Weber carb. Now that I actually want to refer to it to see if I can improve how the vacuum on my car is arranged I haven't found it. Does anyone know where it is? Or a good way to quickly find it? If I search "Weber...
