broken transmission bearing
Take a look at the broken bearing from my Z54F transmission. It is easy enough to remove as an assembly, still attached to the large gear and shaft. What other tercel transmissions have this identical part? Is this a common part, shared between all the different transmissions, 2wd or 4wd, or 4sp, or...

kingtercel I would say that the klr is an on road bike that is off road capable. How off road capable? That depends on your skill level. The advantages and disadvantages of dual sports tend to be a somewhat religious topic. I will only say that if you intend to beat up your bike on the trails, ride ...

Don't limit yourself to only 250cc and less. If you control yourself, resist the urge to join the organ donor racers, you should be able to handle a larger bike. I started on a Laverda 650, I've seen others start on a Kawasaki ex500, just take it easy. If you just want to ride around town, getting y...

takza, this engine has 203,000 miles (326.000KM) on it. The oil use is hard to pinpoint, because it was both leaking at the pan gakset, and burning. No driving, would result in about 1qt per month. Nice puddle on the ground. Long trip, 500mi, I would put 3qts of oil in. Most of the valves had oil sl...

Replacing piston rings, top end service
Piston ring and cylinder head service. Good results, not for the inexperienced! Pics at the end. Disassembly: The air cleaner, carburetor, and vacuum hoses need to be removed. The timing belt cover was removed, and the tension pulley was adjusted to give maximum slack on the belt. The belt was then ...

Welcome to the forum! Circled in red is the fuel filter, it's only held in by a clip. Fuel might leak out when changing it, so take precautions. [/img]http://www.geocities.com/sacwac123/tercel/fuelfilter.jpg Sounds like you just need to crawl under the car and look for tranny fluid leaks. It could b...

Yeah, placing the the microphone so close to the engine like that probably changes the tone. It's easier to hear the problem noise though. If the car seems way too loud, then you might have an exhaust leak. It's kind of hard to put into writing, but if you've heard small cars with rusted out exhaust...

if you try that method of lifing the head, and slipping a new gasket in there (assuming the old one comes off easily), you will need to lift it at least 1cm. If you take a look at the pic, there is a metal tube that sticks out of the block in the upper left corner. http://www.geocities.com/sacwac123...

Chris, Don't drain the fluid completely. Add new fluid as you bleed them. Even if your existing brake fluid resembles molasses, like mine did, the new fluid should replace the old as you bleed it. It's probably with the lid on. To be safe, you could fill to the minimum line, then close the lid. If s...

Here is an interesting thing I found when tearing apart my parts car. I was able to insert plastic tie wraps into the clutch chamber. The mounting bolts are all tight., and that hard gasket is in place. These gaps are not supposed to be there right? Here is a picture (craigslist was used just to hos...

For just the laptop, I would imagine you would need at least a 100W inverter. You could do with less, but you might want some headroom. The kind that wires to the car battery, not the cigarette lighter. I've run a pentium 3 1Ghz, from an inverter that didn't put out any kind of sine wave. Most of the...
