And yes I had the 19mm backed out.

So I filled transmission. Less than 3 quarts went in. When I was down there I saw that I had drained from what looks like the front diff and there looks like a drain also on the transmission. Both 24 mm. Did I drain from the wrong plug? Do I just wait for fluid to settle to shoot for the last quart?...

I think I will fill with gear oil mixed with some atf and see if it functions properly. If so I will drain and fill with gear oil. Then look for leaks. Do I just fill in fill hole with 19mm backed out? How much fluid? Is there a write up on procedure?

I have a white exterior grey interior sr5 looking to sell. Brand new studded tires. Transmission acting up in 4th gear drained fluid and 1.5 quarts came out. So not sure condition of transmission. Willing to take 500. Thanks.

Drained oil and around 1.5 quarts came out. Probably try to fill and see how it runs. I assume damage has happened. Even if shifts ok assume I have a leak.

Oil is low. No sign of fluid once I removed the 24 mm fill plug. What to do?

I ended up just putting some rtv on cracked area on inside. Since it is an overflow it is not pressurised and doesn't exchange fluid to radiator.

Where is the indicator for the fluid. I am guessing some sort of site glass which I am sure is covered in oil.
