Hey John, Glad to see you're making use of the forum. This is a great bunch of guys and it's nothing like the Nissan forums which I never visit anymore despite loving our Spec V Sentra. I'm sure you'll get all the level-headed answers you need. And none of the attitude. I should've mentioned the squ...

Thanks, coltarms and you're right - I love XJs! This is our second. I'm actually already a member of NAXJA, SOXJA, jeepkings.ca and the local Jeep club. No shortage of resources for these things, that's for sure. Within the next year, I hope to do a small lift (3"), 31" mud-terrains and a ...

Hey gang, It's true, my trusty Tercel is now with her new owner. I'm sure she'll serve him as well as she's served me. This site was invaluable during my ownership and I know everyone will help out the new guy. Every question I ever had was answered here. As for the replacement, it's a '96 Cherokee ...

Hey Terceldude,
That's just paint, not actual flares. Makes a big difference visually, though. As for the 4WD stickers, I did the art and had a vinyl graphics company cut them out for me.

Bump!

I'll be listing my Tercel in the Buy & Sell or Trader this week, so I just thought I'd bump this to the top and give club members another shot at her before I do.
I've already purchased a replacement vehicle, so the Tercel needs to go asap.

Selling my 86 SR5

The time has come to upsize to accomodate the growing family, so my trusty Tercel is now for sale. She looks just like she does in my avatar, but rust has started bubbling around all 4 fender lips. Otherwise, she's in great shape, very clean and well maintained. Daily driver for the past 3 years or ...

And for anyone wanting to go to 15" rims, mine are from a Toyota Echo and fit great - I even managed to attach the Toyota centrecaps. Echos are starting to show up in the scrap yards (there will be more after another winter's worth of accidents) and you can also buy them new for fairly cheap.

I recently remembered seeing a picture of a Tercel 4WD wagon with a unique stripe package for those of us living in the snow belt. The stripe ran along the side then up the pillar to the roof and had a small simple mountain image and the word Snow (I think). I'd love to duplicate it by having some v...

A good sub needs a dedicated amp. Your CD player needs to power your other speakers. If you try to make the CD player also run the sub, sound will suffer. Try one of the Bazooka subs like GasolineFumes suggested - they're inexpensive, have their own amp and can be removed easily. If you keep it in t...

First of all (and this may answer all your questions), go to http://www.skiwagons.com. They have a way-cool wheel & tire package and a lift kit. As for my own experience, I've managed to squeeze 195/60/15 (yes, 15") Hankook snows on Echo-size steel rims with no issues (and no lift kit). I d...

I'm about to re-install my stereo and I'm going a little further than before. Somehow I'll be stuffing in a 10" sub in a removeable enclosure, 2 Pioneer (one Premiere, 1 GM-H50) amps, a pair of Pioneer Premiere 6x9s in the rear and Infinity separates (1" tweeter, 5" midrange) in front...
