The thing is I don't know what ratio is Z55F

Ok Guys. So I'm swapping transmission now. I have the manual prepared by member of this forum, but I'm a bit confused. Manual said there is two files of transaxle. Pre 84 3,7 :1 Z52F, and after 84 4:1. Z54F. But in mine 84 is Z55F. What ratio has Z55F? Is it the same as Z54?

I just want to say, I'm really lucky. I found two donor cars with manual transmissions. Just 300 miles from me. So now I have to sets to swap transmission . Do you guys have some kind of manual how to do it? What to look for?

I would buy automatic transmision imidietly, if someone have spare or want to do swap.

Thanks so much for your help guys. This is really nice. Now I have something, I can start looking. By the way. Is automatic transmission as that bad, so everybody swapping them for manual? I'm just affraid if I do that, the car will lose originality, and value. I'm right or wrong?

There is nothing in Europe at the moment. I would consider buy donnor car from US. But must be close to shopping point. Florida, or California the best. Maybe you have something?
