Re: the mother load

i've been planning on taking mine off and seeing if it could be prepared. I usually like to have a spare in case I break it in the process of fixing it (which thereby becomes the process of replacing it).

Re: VERY Clever Thread Restorer

my buddy used to have the best Snap-On thread chasers and files. Unfortunately his shop burned down with all the tools, 11 motorcycles, 2 welders, and a whole buncha memories. Honestly I haven't found any other thread chasers that compare to those.

Re: WTB: 4WD Transmission Mount

any reason you aren't using a new one? I see they are like $20 shipped from rock auto. can't say about the quality.

Re: the mother load

I think that someone is gonna hook me up with a balancer. I do need a rear wiper arm (or advice on how to fix mine - not enough tension to stay flush to the window).

Re: Carburetor disassemble and assemble video

Awesome video, super helpful, especially when the NAPA instructions were for a single barrel Rochester Carb. Unfortunately I bent my jet pump check ball spring in the process. Hopefully the substitute spring I found will work, time will tell. I usually only rebuild carbs when the auxiliary accelerat...

Re: Tercel 3A Harmonic Balancer Needed

I'm over in WI. Unfortunately there aren't too many Tercels left at salvage lots. Found a 4A balancer, but it rubbed on the timing belt cover, had 4 grooves instead of 3, and didn't bolt up to the power steering crank pulley.

Tercel 3A Harmonic Balancer Needed

Hello everyone,

Checking to see if anyone has a spare harmonic balancer for a 3A that they might be willing to let go. Haven't found any suitable aftermarket replacements, and the OEM is around $200-$300 where available.

Thanks.

Re: Front coil springs

my brother was testing out a bumper jack he bought at a flea market on one of my toyota pickups. he had it fully raised before we figured out it wouldn't reverse.

Re: Heater Core update and part request

that's funny, my lever is broken in the exact same spot. no heat in the garage, so for now no heat in the tercel. nice write up and advice on the weather tape.
