Re: speed question...
I'm sure theres a thread around here somewhere but I just used 4 front jeep cherokee springs and cut/bent to fit in stock perches. My brother was the mastermind behind the brake setup, we basically stumbled around a junkyard for hours on end comparing parts and mock fitting them on a tercel that was...

Re: Tercel Overhaul
If you use paseo rotor and caliper it is a direct bolt on without shimming and with stock flexhose, since I used a celica caliper I needed to make a 1/8th inch spacer for behind the rotor.

I've hit 110 with 195/75/14 tires on her, took a week and a day to hit it but she made it. scary as shit. after speedometer correction thats roughly 125mph  never again my friend, she rarely sees over 50 indicated anymore(bout 60mph with speedo correction on the new tires). Of course this was...

Re: Very sticky 4WD lever.
Well a few non crucial things could cause this. While you were trying to switch into 4wd were you driving straight at a constant rpm? Are all the tires the same size and tread depth? Do all of the tires have the same PSI in them? few simple things that could clear up your issue.

Re: How Strong is the Roof?
i've filled the entire hatch with bricks, from the back of the seat to the hatch and all the way from left to right, stacked up to the windows. And also covered the roof with 6x12 beams from passenger side to driver side lol. It struggled but that tranny worked til the day I rolled it, the tranny is...

So last weekend my buddy and I, who drives a 90 grand cherokee, decided to go wheelin at around midnight. I told him to set the bar and I'd follow him through anything he went for, he was trying to impress 2 girls that he brought with him so he was going balls to the wall all out. After about 20min ...

Re: What do you get like when they call it a Subaru?
When I get called a subi my general response is "It's a toyota, respect it." Last time I got called a subi was when I was pulling a stuck car out of the snow and told a 2008 subaru wagon that he shouldn't try to go up a certain road. His exact words were "This kid's subi wagon has mor...

Re: transmission removal.
Its pretty simple to pull a tranny, take out the kframe reinforments, rear driveline, front CV's, tranny stiffener bars on either side of the tranny, rear tranny mount, gear shifter, speedo cable, clutch cable and bellhousing bolts. trickiest part is pulling the gear shifter imo. I've got it down to...
