Re: Tucker has a new home
Installed the pathfinder springs and thunderbird struts today. Man that was simple! Great mod and what a driving difference - really appreciate how tired the rear end was. Should have done all the rear sway bar bushings at the same time but oh well, I’ll order them up tonight. Has anyone found a lon...

Re: Roof basket/roof rack questions.
Oh I see, didn’t realize it was half. I’ve seen some shorties out there, I’ll keep poking around for one. Thanks for getting back to me. Offer up is awesome - just found a fella selling a non-running 85 sr5 4wd that appears to be in great condition. He agreed to work me with on a parts deal. I’m goi...

I’d buy that small basket off of you! Do you still have it or is it gone already?

Re: Tucker has a new home
You’re in aus! What’re winters like where you are?
I read about the ATF flush; drain, fill up with ATF and drive it hard at freewayspeeds for a short bit?
The redline has worked well?

Re: Tucker has a new home
Heres under the hood. Rebuilt 3a, 7yr/70mi warrantee, reman carb, new vac lines, new dist. 234,000 at rebuild, now have 1500 on the fresh motor. The new fuel pump went bad 300 miles ago. Made sure to get a Japanese part as replacement and the car runs way better with it. Just got 28mpg on a 200 day ...

Re: Tucker has a new home
Chris, I’ll take the bait! energy suspension has them (poly) for $90ish for the set. It’s 4 weeks to get them bc they come from aus. I heard they’re the best. I just bought mine from toyotapartsdeal.com who had them for 1/2 that - unsure on the product quality, but I can let you know when I get them...

Re: Tucker has a new home
Thanks Chris!
Here’s tucker with the bottle caps - haven’t seen too many Tercel owners pick them up, not sure why. 14x6, 4x100 and alloy; they fit the bill just right.
Would be rad to find some stickers to cover up the bmw center caps.

Here’s tucker, cleaned after purchase but to her rebuilt engine.
I’ll snap some other pics of the bottle cap rims, updated roof rack and motor in the next couple of days!

Re: Tucker has a new home
Updating the progress - Recently had the brand new fuel pump die after 2000k mikes, found a better replacement that has really changed the starting and driving experience. $65 I found some bmw bottle cap rims in 4x100 and 14x6 with 195/65r14’s on there all in great shape, no curb rash with good rubb...

Re: Engine cutout suddenly - rebuilt motor and carb
Thanks Petros! Followed your direction, diagnosed a faulty fuel pump. Found a Japanese made oem replacement from Halsey import parts just down the way from me in ne Portland, came with a 2 year warrantee. $65. Car runs way better than it did before! I’m guessing it was faulty out of the box. My fuel...

Engine cutout suddenly - rebuilt motor and carb
Alright y’all, 8 months ago I bought an 84’ Tercel 4wd. Had the motor professionally rebuilt (it was leaking oil from everywhere) and replaced almost everything attached to the motor (carb, distributor, alternator, radiator) tucker has run beautifully for 1500 miles. So...this morning I hop in, fire...

Who’s the Tercel lover on Lorane hwy just outside of Eugene?!?
I was driving back from my sister in-laws place just near creswell, OR and was on Lorane hwy headed to Eugene. Drove by a house that had no less than 3 Tercel’s parked in the front driveway. Then one passed me headed in the direction of that home. I’m assuming this was the passionate owner of the co...

Went to check this one out today. She’s in great shape. 300k on the odometer. Al21 body, 2wd manual. Really great shape on the interior, light blue exterior also very good shape considering the age, no body damage. Motor is still there but I’m guessing it’s toast considering how good everything look...

Tucker has a new home
Hey all, I bought tucker back in March. In general he’s in pretty good shape considering home much oil was leaking when I got him. 238k mi and 2 owners. PO had gone over the brakes, fuel system and replaced the strut inserts. Had my mechanic r&r the engine and just got it back. Working on breaki...
