Owners manual for sale
Hello, Both wagons are gone :( and I must clean out the garage. I have two owner’s manuals: a 1986 in great condition and a 1983 in good condition. The 1983 manual came with my 83 wagon when I bought the car in 1987 and has some fading on the cover. I bought the 86 manual when I got the 87 wagon r...

On my '87 it is pretty toasty. However, my '83 was quite cold and I always needed a blanket, gloves and hat. I found if I slipped a piece of cardboard in between the radiator and front frame it seemed to work well at increasing my heat. They were easy to find but I sure got strange looks rummaging a...

Typrus, as you know the Tercel handles that kind powder quite well. I remember going down a driveway at 3am in Bayfield with about 3 feet of powder (OK my wife was actually driving) and the powder actually flowed up over the hood and parted on each side of the windshield like water! It was a beautif...

Lollypop, I think you are right. As i recall the top two lines are to the HAC and work together to supplement vacuum advance depending on ambient air pressure (ambient air pressure is determined by the diaphragm in the HAC). I think ones pulls and the other will release timing to reach correct advan...

fuel line size
Hello, I saw a small puddle of gasoline under the back of the car and followed Typrus’ suggestion and examined the rubber connection hoses. ( thanks Typrus) Sure enough they leak and need to be replaced. Does anyone know the inner diameter? As I’ll probably get the replacement hoses at...

Takza, I rebuilt my front calipers too. But it seemed a lot less work. I bought loaded calipers from Carquest (top tier) for about 50-60 each if my feeble memory is right and slapped them on. I didn’t replace guides or boots or springs. Easy as pie. Now I m wondering- will my brakes fail now ...

Shogun, if you go on a web search for decarbonizing engines, you’ll find several techniques. when i looked, I found several camps: one used transmission fluid only, water only , mix of water transmission fluid, pre-made products like sea foam, and a camp that said don't do it!. I found a prod...
