Re: Recommended bits and ends for long trips in a Terc??
It isn’t too bad of a drive, from Victoria B.C to Parksville. Just over and hour if there isn’t any traffic on the one highway up island!! About 170km. Speaking of distributor, I noticed a slight oil leak from where the dizzy meets the block on the outside, would that be the distributor mounting gas...

Recommended bits and ends for long trips in a Terc??
Wasn’t too sure where to post so apologies in advance!
Going on a decent length voyage in my terc, it’s made it plenty before and here’s hoping it does again (knock on wood) however what are some bits you won’t leave without just incase??
I was thinking an extra clutch cable and drive belt??

alternator noise?
Hey there, today I've notice s while the car is warming up there is a faint screech, kind of scratchy noise that comes from what I believe to be the alternator area? Could this be the alt failing?
Thanks
Andrew
Thanks

Clutch cable questions
Hey all clutch cable snapped on me right at the pawl and release sector area, I'm thinking perhaps the new clutch could have just worn out the thirty year old cable via too much tension??? As I have already replaced a release sector which snapped in half and believed it to be just an old tired part ...

I'm wondering if anyone knows if a LT195/75r14/D 99r bf Goodrich all terrain t/a ko's would fit my stock tercel 14's, "the square/block style wheel"?

Re: Trans fluid fill through shifter?
Hey all! Thanks Petros! I'll be giving that a try this weekend, not much in terms of "good Dino gear oil" I have been able to find only 75-90 in synthetic castrol at my local lordco, they didn't have any 75-90 in a decent brand, I've bought some 80-90 Dino oil from Canadian tires own brand...

Re: Trans fluid fill through shifter?
Thanks all! Another question I've got is, Would running Castrol full synthetic 75-90 cause gear clashing, since owning the car I have only been able to shift into first at a complete stop, and 2nd as well as 3rd grind a little if your not slow enough with the shift.
