Just spitballing ideas.

Recently, I was daydreaming about tercels, as one does if you have an issue like me  and was dreaming up a sort of hardcore offroad tercel build, partially spawned by this guy I follow on instagram who is rwd BEAMS swapping a 4wd wagon. This involves cutting to fit the transmission and plenty o...

Re: My New 1983 Tercel Wagon 4WD SR5 | Worst/Best Decision of my Life?

Always happy to have more enthusiasts on the road and on the forum!

The front end doesn't look like anything a large hammer can't fix, unless you want it to look like new.

I recommend tube bumpers if the stock one is scrap anyways, but thats just the lifted tercel in me talking ;)

Re: Is there a cure to snapped e-brake cables?

soak the part in large amounts of ATF, it should free the dissimilar metal bond. keep applying it for several days, should work free after that. I find completely immersing the stuck parts works best, usually all it takes is overnight. but not all parts can be put in a drum of ATF. the problem with...

Re: Is there a cure to snapped e-brake cables?

Are there any tips for separating the aluminum from the steel? Perhaps a chemical spray I could use?

Is there a cure to snapped e-brake cables?

This has been the most common issue between every tercel I own. I snapped both on separate occasions on my first tercel, bought a tercel with a snapped right e-brake cable, and recently snapped a cable on Jenny. It has quickly become my least favourite job due to the aluminum barrel ends used in a s...

She's a beaut!

Sorry to disappoint though, this tercel has you beat on the low mileage front:

Edit: Got my metric and imperial mixed up. You have that one beat by 1140 kms!

Interesting

I don't have access to a welder so I won't be able to do that though
A small cheap-o welder is a worthwhile investment if you like owning old and rare things like tercels.

Once you figure out what they fit, put them on Ebay, might find someone restoring a bronco or something that can use them.
That was my thought exactly.

Re: Warn Hubs

They look exactly like this, but in chrome. 23 spline.

I'm waiting back to hear from warn, maybe they changed the part number for some reason before the dawn of the internet.

I believe they're for a 80's model ranger/mazda pickup.

Warn Hubs

I picked up a pair of old but unused warn hubs at a garage sale for $5. They are from 1991 and the box says "M250 Chrome 21450." I can't find anything online about this part number. It's a bit of a long shot but the knowledge on this forum never ceases to amaze me, so does anyone know what these hub...

Re: Complete and running custom 7age swap

PSA from a welding engineering technologist: If at any point you are planning on welding cast iron (i.e. a stock manifold); make sure to preheat the snot out of it and post weld heat treat it as well. This may keep the cast iron from cracking in the heat affected zone of your weld.
