Re: Hello from Yakima WA, Meet Mr. T

How are they for rubbing?
I've got what looks like a similar lift to you with a 1 inch spacer in the front and the Monroe air shocks in the rear. Picked up some 15 inch civic mags and would like some better off road rubber.

Re: Hello from Yakima WA, Meet Mr. T

What tire size are you running? Those look like 15 inch rims.

Re: Bryan's find SOLD on L.A. CL!

Tercels were pretty expensive. I did some googling and inflation converter-ing and to buy a 4wd tercel in today's money would set you back around $25-$30K.

A brand new car for $12K isn't that bad with a bit of perspective.

Re: 83 sr5 maxima vq30de & 350z 6 speed swap

This will be fun to follow. One problem I noted: I assume your creation will be rear wheel drive. I reckon you will need the rear end out of a corolla gts (ae86) for that to work. The tercel's rear end doesn't have a true differential, i.e. when power is sent to it both wheels spin at the same speed...

Where can I find a 4a-c

What years/models of corolla had the 4ac motor? A list sure would help out my pick-n-pull hunt. Didn't mid 80s chevy novas also have a 4ac? Any other toyota models I should be aware of with this 80 hp beast? Thanks. P.S. if anyone in western Canada has one just sitting around that isn't a P.O.S. I'd...

Re: Another Movie Sighting...

It's been previously mentioned, but the 1998 disaster film "Deep Impact" is a gold mine for tercel sightings. I think I would like to be behind the wheel of one as I run from the apocalypse.

Also made me wonder how well tercels float!

I would be interested in the rebuilt 4a-c, I would give you cash for just the engine. Can you give any more specifics on the rebuild?

Re: Fixing Up Jenny

Adjusted the odometer on the new dash to 182000 km so it matches the kilometres of my car. (a bit scary how easy it is to do) Popped that sucker in last night and now I have a beautiful working tachometer and digital clock. I notice the design of the fuel and temp gauges lend themselves to be a lot ...
