Alas, the car is no longer for sale as it has found a new Toyota enthusiast and owner. I wish this forum the best wishes/luck! Thank you for all your knowledge and help. You guys are awesome. Perhaps, one day, I will return... Unlikely, but stranger things have happened...
Cheers!

FS: 1986 Tercel FWD (RALEIGH, NC)
Would love to see this car go to an enthusiast. It's a solid car and I thought about all the things I wanted to do with this car. Alas I have other priorities that I need to focus on which requires that I downsize my "fleet" of 6 vehicles to a more manageable 3... Asking $1,200. Raleigh Du...

Re: Corolla All-Trac
Locked center diff. good to know! I'll see if that button or the solenoid is defective... Both oil cooling lines were replaced last July. a few other maintenance items were taken care of about 3-5 years ago... Probably due for another timing belt change. Brakes should be at about half life. Tires, o...

Re: Corolla All-Trac
I really appreciate all the feedback. This is awesome :) The owner did mention this issue, which I'm curious about: Yes, she's driveable. Rear diff issue surfaces when taking sharp turns in parking lots - I will sometimes end up making a two point turn in smaller spaces because rear wheels seem to c...

Corolla All-Trac
Well, folks! I'm back for more... Naturally I can't help myself. I've kept shopping around. The Tercel is doing wonderful, but it's only FWD. I've got the AWD itch. I came across a '92 Corolla All-Trac wagon and am thinking about making the plunge... These Tercel's and Corolla All-Tracs are really h...

Re: Minimize Your Shipping Costs at RockAuto.com!
Also.... sometimes, it helps to ship multiple orders. I've noticed that sometimes when I order TOO many things, I'll get a higher shipping rate than if I ship things separately; especially if there are big items included. It's almost like if they have to go to another box or the weight exceeds a lim...

Re: Replacing rear coil springs
None of the springs are available... I'm going to have to make a few phone calls. I can try to call an AC Delco Rep tomorrow to see if they have any specifications or datasheets on the springs they don't offer and if they can cross reference with other springs for similar performance... Just getting...

Re: 1987 Tercel 4WD 4AGE
Yeah. I'm in Wisconsin right now on a business trip. That said, my company has put me up in an apartment. I don't have any resources to fix this up, let alone drive it back to NC. It's not worth the freight charge to haul this car back to NC. I don't have anywhere to store the car in the mean time. ...

Re: factory gas mileage
So far, I"m averaging 26mpg with 50/50 city/hwy. Could do better, I think, but it's not terrible. It's also winter, so I'd expect it to go up to around 28 or 29 when spring time comes around. I'm used to seeing about a 10% hit to MPGs when winter rolls through. http://www.fuelly.com/car/toyota/...

It's going to be tricky, but hopefully doable.
