Re: Repairing that awful fuel sender unit

You no longer have to repair your sending unit if you don’t want to

there are new sending units available through the company I have been in contact with in Taiwan

Re: Power windows / locks

You can buy generic aftermarket power lock stuff online. I installed it on my ae95 years ago. But a word of warning, the one I installed turned out to be a POS and broke within a year. The wiring that ran to each lock motor was really, REALLY thin gauge and so brittle that it was physically breakin...

Power windows / locks

I remember a thread of someone taking the hardware from another 80's toyota model and installing power windows and locks on our cars.

Is that a thing? I would like to get some if possible.

If my Tercel wasn't in a million pieces I would offer to test it. What other parts does the company make for these wagons?
Not sure, I don't think they make anything right now besides this. Mostly for 70's corollas and 80's ae86's

I have not, but it had no resistance to spinning when I put my car in gear and it didn't make noise when I was running it like that

Re: inclinometer installation pictorial

Just pulled my dash apart to do this plug in on my 86 and the wire colors don't match. I do not have a yellow wire or a red with green stripe on the 7 pin connection

edit: nevermind I was looking at the wrong socket since the photobucket photos are gone, all working now

Speedometer squeaking

It squeaks above 15mph and that's really annoying so I'm trying to fix it. I can't seem to find where it was discussed before but I have the gauge cluster removed and there doesn't seem to be a way to open it easily to get inside the actual speedometer. Can I just put some oil inside the speedo hole...

Re: Timing pulley guide pin???

when you say "guide pin" do you mean the pin that the tension pulley pivots on the front of the block? a machine shop can make one, if you can find the correct size rod you can make one yourself as well. that shop had no business working on a car they clearly was not familiar with. what a...

Timing pulley guide pin???

So my radiator went out that was one of the things the previous owner said the shop replaced as well as the timing belt. The problem is that this "shop" is also responsible for welding my crank pulley on, having the distributor timing off by a tooth, and hooking up the distributor vacuum l...
