Re: Distributor vacuum lines
Hi All, My ‘86 failed smog in California because The vac lines to the distributor were blocked off and the guy couldn’t advance the timing. I’m reconnecting everything but am finding the diagram a bit confusing so wanted to double check with y’all. I’ve connected the orange nozzle from the very bott...

Re: Low beams not working but high beams are
Thanks! I checked the fuses and they all look good. I’m thinking it may be the headlight control relay. I tried to check that per the service manual and it seems a bit funky. You’re right, I know I should probably check the bulbs first. I’ll ty that tomorrow. Meanwhile relay is on order at my local ...

Low beams not working but high beams are
Hi Folks, I was hoping y'all could help me with a lighting mystery. I recently swapped out the wiper/headlight assembly on my '86 for the Intermittent Wiper assembly ( https://tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5623 ). Unfortunately, since doing that only my high beams seem to work. When t...

Squeaky (steering) wheel gets the grease?
Hi All, The steering wheel on my '86 has been making a lot of noise these days. Its a kind of squeaking squealing a bit like a quieter version of peeling out. I was hoping I could just spray some lubricant up in there an that it will fix the problem. Any recommendations on lubes I should use or avoid...

Re: Any leads on window glass?
Thanks for the leads. I was actually planning to head to California in the next few days so might see what’s around there. The windshield is fine (minus a crack in that’s been there awhile). they got the big glass on the hatchback, the passenger side front door, and the fixed glass on the rear passe...

Any leads on window glass?
Howdy folks,
Someone decided it would be fun to smash in a few of my windows last night. So that’s fun. I live in Vancouver and called a couple glass places but they said the parts are obsolete. Any suggestions on places to track down glass?
Thanks,
Calen

Re: strut spacers
Hey Jim,are this still available? If so I'd be very interested. What part of Canada are you in? I just moved to Vancouver (from D.C.) and could pick up in person if you're in the area.

Re: Celica strut retrofitting
Nick,
Hope you were able to get the tercel out of the ditch. I just had a quick question about this lift. Did you reinstall the rear sway bar or did you leave it off after you were done?
Thanks.

Re: WTB: Celica GTS spring for lift
I haven't been able to find aftermarket springs to match the Celica GTS stock springs that would give the right amount of lift for the Tercel. All the after markets I've run into seem to be for lowering the Celica. Has anyone has come across an after market spring that would work for the lift listed...

WTB: Celica GTS spring for lift
Howdy folks, I'm finally getting around to doing a front and rear lift on my 86 (pathfinder springs in back, Celica GTS springs in front). I finally tracked down a Celica GTS in a salvage yard near me. Unfortunately, by the time I got there the car only had the drivers side spring left. I have all t...

Re: OEM Front Suspension Parts & Numbers
Didn't come with any grease so I'll stick with silicone. I should go with the dry as opposed to the wet kind, right? Thanks for all

Re: 3-point belts in rear?
Reviving an old thread here but I came across something that looks like it might work: http://wescoperformance.stores.yahoo.net/3pt-roadster-seatbelt-bench-help.html Its a 2 point mount as opposed to the normal three point and has the retractor up top like the Aussie tercs have it. You could attach ...
