sorry to hear. My Tercel was stolen last summer in SE PDX. I posted on Reddit and was found like a month later not far from my house. I will keep an eye out. anything very unique like bumper sticker etc?

kinda late here ..I had a mystery leak near the front.. turned out to be the rubber o ring on the bypass tube
about the size of a thumb was very easy fix.. only leaked once in a while at first.

thanks for the encouraging words. I needed a car asap and bought a 79 corolla. I will park the tercel till next spring and make a decision weather to rebuild or do a 4ac swap. if anybody in the pnw has a lead on a 4ac I'd be interested have been checking the pick and pull web site. update: was found on side of road. few miles from my house a month after. now has a rod knock maybe.. and slipping clutch is now really bad. I think the thiefs forgot to check the oil. time to pull the engine out and rebuild ? or maybe sell it. nothing smashed or missing just was very bummed out . n...

thanks will look for a 4wd light housing...the tercel at pick-and pull in Portland was 2wd the engine bay mostly complete (automatic) if anybody needs parts. seems like distributor was missing and some small parts.

update on my Tercel. she been running well and was barely hit in a parking lot the other driver had called his insurance and admitted fault etc. I had to jump through the hoops of calling a body shop they refused it ..then they said they would pick it up with a tow truck to get evaluated ..well they...

I know this is old but does anyone have this part number?
or what size and quality level of the o-ring.
the failed ones seemed very hard and not like rubber. maybe they fail that way and were just rubber o-rings a decade ago.
