Re: Fresh Weber and head replacement - oil weaping from exhaust?

I just ran the PCV line to the can because it was there. Originally was running to the carb where all the oil was going even after many pcv valve changes. I also did have a breather there on that capped off port, all the oil vapor was flying through it and getting everywhere on the valve cover. Not ...

Re: Fresh Weber and head replacement - oil weaping from exhaust?

I was busy the last few days and forgot to take a pic. I need to read the thread all over again and see what could've happened. It totally skipped my mind that I had a similar situation awhile back. I don't remember where I posted it here, but one of the wrist pins that hold the piston on the connec...

Re: Fresh Weber and head replacement - oil weaping from exhaust?

How does it look under the air filter? I had the breather line setup like that and I had some pretty decent blow by that was throwing oil into the carb. I have an oil catch can setup now though so I don't have to worry about that.

Right back side, could be the distributor o-ring. Simple fix.

Re: removing belts issues

I think the nut on the front of the pulley has to be loosened before you relieve the tension. Don't quote me on that.

Re: the mother load

I do need a rear wiper arm (or advice on how to fix mine - not enough tension to stay flush to the window). I have the same issue. I was thinking about just bending the arm. Anyone have a better idea? Haven't looked at one in awhile but I think there is a spring in there. Could it just be replaced?

any reason you aren't using a new one? I see they are like $20 shipped from rock auto. can't say about the quality.
They are not 4wd mounts.

4ac will bolt up no problem with no modifications, the 4age requires a ton of mods.

Re: 2003 accent, no crank & weird electrical stuff

Every time I have come across what you described here, it was normally the battery terminals needing a good cleaning because they were gunked up, along with the leads to the battery. I had it so bad on my 01 corolla in fact , I had to carry a bottle of battery contact cleaner in the glove box at all...

Re: Dieseling + backfiring + rough/searching idle

If no one here has one for you, I might be able to source one from a junkyard here and ship it to you, given that the distributor is the root of your problem.

Re: New Power Leather Heated Seats, Overhead Console, and Custom Headliner

Jeez. Looks like I have some catching up to do! I have some ideas I need to work out with mine but it won't turn out anything like yours. You've done a fantastic job with all these mods, especially the dog bed! Does the charging system hold up well with the seat warmers running? I want to get a bett...

Re: Need Real-time Help. Car won't start.

From the fuse box under the hood goes a single wire to the positive on the battery. That might have been disconnected, or one of the fuses could have blown?

Re: Familiar with a 22r?

The old timing cover had a crack that was poorly sealed with some type of hardening putty. It was leaking from that covered crack, and the only through bolt on the timing cover had the threads stripped out and was pouring oil out of there too. Drove it around for a few months and the leaks just got ...

Familiar with a 22r?

I'm sure there's a few of you who know your way around a 22r. I just wanted to ask here in hopes of someone who might know a thing or two because I don't want to sign up for another forum. This timing cover has a gap between the head and itself. It lines up perfectly with the bottom of the block. Qu...

Re: ISO: 3A-C engine for 1985 SR5

I was in the same boat awhile back. I spent a ton on trying to save the block. It was able to be bored .40 over to be salvageable, only to find out I couldn't find any .40 pistons. Threw away a lot of money on that block. If it comes down to it. I do have a head I put together that's been sitting on...
