Re: potentially best in australia?

But rego came again the other day and historic registration in qld is pretty limiting as to what you can do with it. I may yet keep it if I can see myself crying to sleep when it goes. It is a...

Re: Hi from Australia
Forgot to mention before I did valve stem seals I did a dry compression test and got 155 on all 4 pots so eliminates any fear I had about rings.

Re: Hi from Australia
Haha the whole car is that clean. Combination of the car being a really clean one owner and me being OCD. The engine I put in from a barn find ae86 that had 24 thousand ks on the odo which is a touch under 15 thousand miles for you yanks. Car gets driven a couple of times a week. Certainly more now ...

Re: Hi from Australia
So anyway fitted
Rotor cap and button
New leads
Electronic fuel pump
New cvs
New pcv
New valve stem seals
No more smoking and the car no longer reeks of petrol when I turn it off. Starts easier and with all the above a much nicer car to drive.

Re: Hi from Australia
Well i bought some valve stem seals and a compressor just waiting for them to arrive. I think i fixed the problem though as i installed a low pressure electronic fuel pump and i think the old mechanical fuel pump was weeping into the rocker cover causing various problems. I am waiting on a new pcv v...

Re: Hi from Australia
i have chucked some seafoam type treatment twice now. Second time i sprayed it right in the barrel and let it sit for ages. Even cranked the motor with the plug caps off to circulate it.
If it was rings would it not smoke more often

Re: Hi from Australia
Also does anyone know where the air conditioning wires should be going or should be doing. I have tried hooking mine up and it wont work but if I do it direct to the compressor I can get it to lock up. Would really love working air con. Even if someone just has photos of where the two wires on the c...

Re: Hi from Australia
"sometimes"
does anyone in aus have one of the air duct tubes that go under the steering wheel from the center console to the far right air vent? Mine is missing for some reason.
