Re: HUMBLE BEE BRAKE UPGRADE
hmm let's PM each other about that 87 GTS you got, I am very interested! The "rear disc" project is a WHOLE OTHER can of worms when you consider all the bolt patterns, axle sizes, and rear ratios. My best lead right now is a 4x100 axle from an 80's Toyota van combined with various SR5 and ...

Re: HUMBLE BEE BRAKE UPGRADE
Yes, I believe it will fit! It should actually give me more rim clearance than my MR2 ones. But I won't actually know until the test fit. The caliper bracket design is quite different, it goes OVER THE TOP of the caliper instead of the FRONT OF IT, like the MR2 ones do. My previous rim clearance iss...

HUMBLE BEE BRAKE UPGRADE
I am excited to announce (what is quite possibly) the most perfect front brake setup for The Humble Bee! Everything is bolt on, without spacers, and only using off the shelf parts, nothing custom (just like I always do). This will be replacing my previous MK1b (88-89) MR2 caliper amd 98 Golf Rotor u...

Re: What Caliper can i fit on my 86 tercel
Don't buy calipers yet. I am a few days away from finishing Humble Bee Brake Upgrade 2.0! No more 87-89 MR2 front calipers! Something even better!

Re: Complete listing of 4 bolt x 100mm rims
so... a new, skinny, non-studded, winter tire on a 13" alloy wheel is what you are looking for.

Re: Complete listing of 4 bolt x 100mm rims
...and for winter, keep the tire skinny. More "PSI" on the surface of the road. It cuts through the slush and gets a much more solid contact with the road.

Re: Complete listing of 4 bolt x 100mm rims
Agreed with Petros on the wheel size choices. My pizza cutters would work great for winters. Just avoid a winter tire size that is too low profile, and always monitor tire pressures. Alberta potholes covered in snow can be deadly. Dented rims and such. I've dented two 14" steelies that way. Ste...

Re: Complete listing of 4 bolt x 100mm rims
Check out the tire I want to get next... the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2. I think this could possibly be the best tire for Alberta roads and winters.
