Weird, I smell gas in my oil...
What happens on your daily driver when you pull the first plug?
I'm getting super nervous. I think I'll buy a compression tester tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of my build. Feel free to ask any questions, and I'll be happy to answer. I still have a couple things left to do, like add four more bolts to the bumper mounts, weld on the bumper skin bracket, and others. Re: Terc delight
Gottoloveem, Did you find out anything on cylinder #2? I put in the new plug wires and am getting a really strong spark, but the cylinder doesn't appear to be firing. There is evidence of combustion on the plug. Anyone willing to pull the first plug wire while the engine is running and tell me what ...

Re: Terc delight
I've put at least 20 miles on the car before the engine change and maybe 3 after. Power is low, but it isn't the reason why I think it is running only on three There is literally no change at all with how the motor runs when I remove that plug. unlike the other three. Idle also seems rough. which co...
Re: Weber
Hey dlb- I found that article right before I had to clock in at work. I think it cover just the info I was looking for! thanks man! For now on I'm going to use google to search the forum instead of the forum search tool. Good point about the icing. It may not actually be a problem here. Gottolovem- ...
Weber
I am seriously considering swapping over to a Weber carburetor . But here is my concern, which I still haven't been able to find an answer too. Nevada has a standard emissions testing guide. Here is a PDF for Nevada's Emissions testing. (see VISUAL INSPECTIONS) http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...

Re: Terc delight
I guess I had my unit on the wrong range setting..200 instead of 200k.. oops. The cap might of been bad on the plug. I pulled the spark plug out from the #1 cylinder and it's carbon black. So it is sparking.... How come I'm not seeing any noticeable difference when I pull the plug at idle? maybe it ...

http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z64/banesterloren/Untitled_zps4bb7e01b.png Number one plug wire. Toast. Even pulled the caps off to further check. It was sparking from that plug, but the spark must of been jumping a gap inside the plug wire making a weak spark on the spark plug end.. new plugs s...

Re: Opinions please
I hope you made it through the pass just fine. It's a great plus, being the season of winter, while having to deal with a hot motor. Hows the crate motor? are we talking new?? Great find!

Re: Terc delight
Thanks so much Petros.
I've been reading threads, but I never quite understood what everyone was doing for the front. until now.
Sweet! there's an 89 all-trac in the JY right now. maybe I'll go down next weekend and grab the struts.

Re: Terc delight
Hey peculiarodor, Daystar doesn't actually make a product for us. The 1.5 spacer is actually designed to lift the front of a 2wd dodge truck. But the dodge coil springs have the same diameter as the rear coil springs on our Tercels. There are two things holding me back from buying these: I'm not sur...

Re: Terc delight
Sorry Gottolovem, I haven't made time to play around with the ignition. I just placed an order for some plug wires, and steering components. even if it isn't the plugs, I figure new ones wouldn't hurt. Mine are pretty haggard looking. Refrigerator white LOL. I actually got the idea of using applianc...
