I found a third one to go with as well... same price. $10 plus shipping for all three.

Re: FS...early model 3AC valve cover
The clutch was ok, but the retainer clip on the throw out bearing wasn't right so if you don't count removing the tranny, is was an easy fix

Re: FS...early model 3AC valve cover
The buyer would have to do all of that as I do not have those parts to go with it.

FS...early model 3AC valve cover
.... The one with "Toyota" on it. It came as a spare with my car and I don't need it. $20 plus shipping sound fair?

Re: Sticky Clutch Linkage?
I try to hit a car wash once a week at least during the winter and get all that crap off the bottom, regardless of any car I drive.

Re: Sticky Clutch Linkage?
I've been keeping my eyes open, but I have yet to see one. I'm lucky with this car, the last owner had the quarter panels replaced and had some problem areas repainted... so it looks really good for an '85

Re: Sticky Clutch Linkage?
It wasn't jumping around much it just wasn't flashing the gun constantly, like it was missing completely. So Last night a new cap and wires cured that pretty fast. Got her set and she's running like a top today.

electronic ignition
A little help. I've been calling around for a new distributor cap and wires for my '85 SR5 wagon. And I've been asked if my car has electronic ignition or not. I am assuming it does because there is an ignition coil. but I dont want to order the wrong part.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Sticky Clutch Linkage?
Alright, she's up and running! However, I think I need a new distributor cap and wires. I couldn't get a steady flash from the timing light. So I only ended up getting it close. But she was good enough to drive to work today. And the clutch feels perfect now.
Thanks fellas

Re: Sticky Clutch Linkage?
Yup, she's all plugged in. And I'm 100% sure I'm at TDC. But it sounds like I need to rotate the rotor back a tooth. I'm also gonna pick up a new cap today, the points are looking pretty rough on the old one.

Re: Sticky Clutch Linkage?
In the FSM it says to line up the indent on the distributor shaft with the mark before inserting the distibutor. When I do that it puts the rotor at 12 o'clock, maybe I need to go one tooth over. I'll try it tonight, thanks
