https://goo.gl/photos/QXcnmQ2fnAcqzMui9 Link has videos of us trying to move her and her interior condition. (look for the little play button in the upper right of the pictures) She has about as much power as a motorized wheel chair, one that's 10 years old and half dead to boot. This poor thing cou...

Re: Craigslist special in NM
I was the one contacting him, I managed to butter him out of the state origin but when I mentioned we may be available this weekend to see it if he was available and hadn't sold it he never replied. I assume either he realized he said too much about it all or he is waiting to see if I contact him th...

Re: any body want some snow?
Makes me want to be back home in NS to see it, but not to shovel it that's for sure. My sister has been keeping me updated on the trials of rural NS driveways and the snow. She has a loooong driveway to her house back in the trees by the water, which is awesome for privacy and a beautiful area near ...

Re: Party Wagon head gasket thread
http://youtu.be/hgcWi-nDEe0 she lives again! She's sounded slightly loud and after checking we found her new muffler had rusted a hole through the back. I assume that was likely the coolant in the exhaust rotting it out. It's under warranty so time to bug Midas about it.

Re: Party Wagon head gasket thread
Nah, we went the right way, but as paul said "We're crazy but not quite that crazy". The little troll wagon decided to let us pop the belt back on this morning with minimal fuss. No idea what her issue was last night unless the ongoing bad karma from selling sassy is plaguing us. I swear t...

Re: Party Wagon head gasket thread
IMG_20150215_142856134.jpg Head gasket looked fine but wet when we cracked her open, problem actually may have been when her engine was rebuilt by the previous owner of the engine they failed to torque the head down properly. Several of the head bolts broke loose with little to no effort. The gaske...

Re: Parts car for my fx
By some miracle I did find one near us, but it needs a "tyranny". Pretty sure he means a transmission and is asking way too much for it.

She has the elusive window sunshades, but no rear wiper, such an odd combination.

Re: Blown engine!
Was there no warranty from e-bay/vendor? What was the time frame from purchasing it to replacing the motor? The truck was purchased in texas and driven back home in colorado. 2 weeks later I believe something in the engine blew out and took everything with it. The car was sold as "Well maintai...

Re: One Owner 83 SR5 on eBay (via BAT)
I don't think those are stock floor mats. I think one of ours had stock, but with a worn hole so we threw them. I seem to recall it being just a brown carpet floor mat with a small "toyota" embroidery on the bottom corner of it. We still have what looks like the stock rear ones from the 83...

Careful, I expect a "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED" from Paul one of these days and I'll see him trying to cut out the floor of Party to give her a 4wd floor plan for a complete swap.

Re: Possible head gasket issue?
We picked up the engine from a first gen in Phoenix. The guy was gutting the car to make it into some racer and selling pretty much everything out of it. He said the engine had been rebuilt (told by the person he bought it off of) only 20K miles before he purchased it and it ran perfectly fine durin...
